Re: let them play already
If schools have returned , schools that have soccer programs have been able to continue
Why cant the JPL/JSL begin
At least , clubs would have a source of income which then could pay senior players

Amazed games haven't started already. Weeks and weeks of pre-season shouldn't come in to it for kids. Understand some logistics need sorting but shouldn't be too hard.

Re: let them play already
Hopefully after the June 7 or 8 restrictions come into play the season can kick off, so hopefully June 12, 13 and 14 is the return date, no cup rounds, play till the end of October and will still be a normal league season, obviously summer sports will come into play for soccer clubs and some parents, they will need to make a choice on whether they pull little Jimmy out of soccer to start his cricket season
But agree LET THEM PLAY ALREADY FFS

I must concur. There have been no issues with interaction in schools so why this is on hold still is rather puzzling. Even playgrounds are open, and I am seeing kids do all sorts of team activities on ovals and parks everywhere.
I might be old, senile, short sighted and a poor driver but give me some spinach and I'll have you for breakfast!

New Federal Govt guidelines to be unveiled today:

Just one parent to attend sporting events;
Balls to be wiped with disinfectant during breaks in play;
Clubs installing protective barriers @ canteens;
Players to shower and change at home;
Staggering arrival times of teams;
Players to place their equipment bags 1.5 metres apart;
No handshakes, high-fives, huddles/celebrations;
No spitting or nasal clearing on the field.

Now that they can play 20 on a pitch, can they at least start playing friendlies? at least even amongst the same club juniors e.g U12 JPL vs U12 JSL from the same club
