That's what I said and the post got deleted. I also pointed out there were already two other threads on this topic, both of which were in the correct forum.

Re: Gombau to coach Olyroos
Given this was created by a mod and mods don't like to shown to be wrong I am not surprised.
What do we have to do to get some consistency around here?

Now they should merge all three threads into one.

Re: Gombau to coach Olyroos
I would rather he went into an AIS type role.
I don't think he has the tactical acumen to succeed with the Olyroos.

Last two club's he was at he won trophies. I think he'll balance the push for results and development well.Brian the Postman wrote:I would rather he went into an AIS type role.

IMO I really can't think of anyone realistically I'd rather see in the role.
Yes I know I'm being biased!

Describe what you see in this picture. Because Gombau won this.
Re: Gombau to coach Olyroos
for winning a few early season midweek games at home against second string line ups.
Gombau appointment is a mistake and once again proves the FFA have learned nothing.

We got Ova' Here?? #ACCUPAHATERS!
Re: Gombau to coach Olyroos
I bet he will be next in line for the top job when Ange moves onto a higher role overseas. The role might already be promised to him to get him into the set up.
Re: Gombau to coach Olyroos
I'm not so sure. IMO his coaching style is more suited to youth sides learning a system. Much of his coaching career has been with youth sides as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he chooses to stay in that area or gets into a technical director role.Mr Red wrote:I bet he will be next in line for the top job when Ange moves onto a higher role overseas. I think he's just trying different options to build up his resume' and gain wider experience of coaching.Stuckey wrote:I'm not so sure.
