Blowme is correct. We have cricket until a few weeks before the seasons start so the Gardens guys let us host (bbq etc) at their ground. We really do appreciate this as we rarely get any income preseason so it does help. Cheers Lefty, Sid and all at Gardens!

Pitch availability is always a challenge for some at this time of the year & Easties did try and secure other venues but to no avail. Although its likely that Parafield Clubrooms will be demolished during preseason there will be transportables setup & this whole concept is about clubs working together to support one & other until the whistle blows of course.

At this stage with respect to the predicted weather forecast of 34deg or higher for Saturday & Sunday please note the senior fixtures will change to 4pm & 6pm kick off at Ingle Fram & Parafield Gardens on Sunday & the same at Valley View on Saturday. ALL reserves games will be cancelled.

In case the forecast changes a final decision & confirmation will be made later in the week in consultation with SAASL & SAASRA.

Had two sides pull out of the 8 team (2 x group of 4) competition...down to 6 teams now 2 x group of 3) ...Seaford, South Coast United, McLaren Districts, Aldinga, The Cove & Southern Knights
Hopefully all will go well next weekend (Feb 15) when we are scheduled to start...games at Seaford & Knights grounds.
A few ground availability issues due to cricket and FFSA scheduling to deal with thrown in for good measure.

It appears that there has been a misunderstanding with the implementation of the Hot Weather Policy for this weeks games & I apologies for any inconvenience caused.

The SAASL updated the policy last year & increased the temperature to 34deg (from 33 previously) where games must finish before 11am or start after 5pm (this will be strictly enforced unlike previous years). A decision will be made on Thursday by SAASRA with respect to the changes in kick off times if the forcast is 34deg or higher which it will likely be for both Saturday & Sunday.

In the event that kick off times do change for Week 1 due to heat the following will apply;

Quite frankly I wish the Hot Weather Policy is standardised across all leagues (FFSA, SAASL & EDJSA) having to work with 3 different temperatures & slightly different policy is an absolute nonsense.

The Templin Cup from memory was an Interdivisional competition where top teams from different Divisions competed in mini league type set up.
The current idea of combining many of the regional pre-season competitions and potentially involves and gives more teams an opportunity.
