If AU are successful or not the people of Adelaide do not care much? But if it was Power or Crows or Test cricket it is another story or EPL english side

Adelaide saw its largest parade since World War II on 3 October 1997, when a ticker tape parade organised by the Council was held for 1997AFL Premiers, the Adelaide Crows. More than 120,000 people lined the City’s streets to see the motorcade travel along King William Street to the Town Hall where the team was presented with the Key to the City of Adelaide. The Lord Mayor and Premier hosted a joint reception for the players and their families at the Town Hall.robs2107 wrote:After all, we remember those ticker tape parades when the Crows and Power won the AFL premiership. Hang on ... there wasn't any.

AU will follow the two other Hal clubs which are on shaky grounds.
Smh needs to come in ASAP ???
Explain how/why?johndedes wrote:Shoot goal
The biggest mistake made was leaving smh out of the Hal league .
Ironically most people here whinge about the lack of football in Australian newspapers.johndedes wrote:Shoot goal

How play playing sunday connect with local comps, wont it put it head to head with sunday NPL and SAASL games?johndedes wrote:Shoot goal
AU needs to realise that without a strong sustainable local league and junior leagues in SA, AU will not survive.
AU needs to withdraw all ffsa teams ASAP !!!
The HAL needs to reformat back to playing in winter on Sunday afternoons to connect with the local leagues.
There are big signs of cracks emerging in the Hal already.

Seriously though congrats MV. As much as I hate them they are going great guns in every aspect. Gotta respect that. This is exactly what the HAL needs. Healthy clubs like this not reliant on wealthy board members and owners.
One question I have though. Are MV the most successful Football club financially in Australian football history?
Has another club ever been in such a strong position financially? But not due to the generosity of a rich supporter/owner?
Considering MV are rivalling many AFL clubs financially I'd doubt it.

My prime support and following is for Salisbury Florina SC the longest ongoing Greek background soccer club in Adelaide.
