AFL Finals
Who will take it out in September?
Hawthorn vs Geelong
Sydney vs Fremantle
North Melbourne vs Essendon
Port Adelaide vs Richmond
I'm tipping Geelong, Sydney, Essendon and Port to get up this week. I'd fancy Port to knock off Freo in Perth if they can get their kicking boots on as well. It will be an interesting finals series.

Hawks Vs Sydney in the GF and i hope Hawks win it, faaaark Sydney and their salary cap concessions, the smokey would be Freo but with Ross Lyon at the helm they can win a premiership, he is jinxed.

Re: AFL Finals
Sydney will get through with Johnson and Mcpharlin being out for the dockers.
Hawks to get up by a few goals.
Dons to knock off the Roos comfortably.
If port get off to a good start, we will beat richmond. We tend to struggle against them so it will be a tough game. Can't wait for finals though!

Hopefully with our full strength team we will get the job done over the Tigers. Cats only have 9 lives, they have used theirs uptotsreds08 wrote:Sydney will get through with Johnson and Mcpharlin being out for the dockers.

I dont think Dons are better than the Roos.... it will be a very tough game for both sides in which I see the roos getting uptotsreds08 wrote:Sydney will get through with Johnson and Mcpharlin being out for the dockers.

If we play like last week, we'll get hammered. Thing is, with both teams, you never know which team will show up!ruud wrote:I dont think Dons are better than the Roos.... it will be a very tough game for both sides in which I see the roos getting uptotsreds08 wrote:Sydney will get through with Johnson and Mcpharlin being out for the dockers.

North Melbourne are inconsistent although steadied a bit in the second half of the season. I feel Essendon will want it more after the last 18 months and knock the Roos off. I don't think there is a lot between the 2 teams when they are both at their best.

Doesn't that make sense, a $ in Adelaide is not the same as a $ in Sydney.Rookie wrote: faaaark Sydney and their salary cap concessions,

No it doesn't, it is their to rort the system legally, which other AFL teams have picked up the likes of Tippett and Franklin in the space of 2 years recently? That would be none

Re: AFL Finals
But it costs more to live in Sydney than Adelaide. If they have the same money available, you would be giving them less. Sounds like you're just having a typical Adelaide whinge.Rookie wrote:God is an Englishman wrote:Doesn't that make sense a $ in Adelaide is not the same as a $ in Sydney.Rookie wrote: faaaark Sydney and their salary cap concessions,

No Shît Sherlock, I know it costs more to live in Sydney so the.
Each and every player in their squad should have that additional costs apportioned across their contracts, we will see how much longer it lasts

So you can accept it costs more in Sydney to live, but you don't agree with their salary cap concessions. Yep, that makes perfect sense.

Could say the same back, why would you make Sydney have effectively a lower salary cap?Rookie wrote:God is an Englishman wrote:Rookie wrote:

Re: AFL Finals
I would make the rules tighter on how they can use the extra money
So lets say they get an extra $1.5M per year ok, now instead of giving $1M of that to Buddy they should be made to split the $1.5m accross their entire list, happy if they weight it according to each player's salary but at the moment it just seems that the additional money they are getting has been used to recruit gun players from other clubs.
Anyway but on the topic Hawks Vs Sydney GF with the Hawks to go back 2 back

OK RUUD, WTF was Cotchin thinking yesterday when he won the toss and elected to kick against the breeze, captaincy 101 in AFL is you always kick with the breeze if you win the toss, not saying this would have changed the result but geez big call to make.

No other team is made to control their salary cap in that way, why should they?
Facts are simple. It costs more to live in Sydney. So, 10K a week in Adelaide allows more disposable income that 10K a week in Sydney.

Rookie the cost of living allowance was applied equally over the whole list.Rookie wrote:I would make the rules tighter on how they can use the extra money

the cost of living is higher in Perth, why don't they have an allowance?God is an Englishman wrote:Rookie wrote:I would make the rules tighter on how they can use the extra money
