Man City fined a record $A90,000,000 by UEFA
EPL title bought and paid for, done and dusted.
BUT
ManCity fined $A90,000,000 for breaching Financial Fair Play rules. AND limited to a 21-man squad for next season's Champions League.
If they get through the group stage, then by the round-of-16 or quarter-finals that squad could be very thin as suspensions & injuries take their toll.

So if they comply, the actual fine drops from £50m to "only" £17.4m ($A31.2m)The CFCB’s decision on City’s punishment, signed off by chief investigator Jean-Luc Dehaene before his shock death on Thursday, included several caveats which could see City avoid paying two-thirds of their fine – £32.6 million – if they comply.
To achieve this, the club must report a maximum break-even deficit of £16.2 million in 2014 and £8.1 million in 2015, as opposed to the £24 million usually permitted.
They must also avoid increasing wages during 2015 – plus 2016 if they fail to meet their break-even targets.

Time for some righteous indignation

Its nothing to do with the premiership. Its about champions league. I thought anyone who was seen to break the fair play would be banned from playing in CL? Money talks I guess

As with the Barcelona transfer punishment I don't see this being upheld

Incorrect. This is a settlement agreement with the club! The club negotiated this!

They couldn't dock any premiership points because they haven't broken any FA Premier League rules.Stitch This wrote:Absolutely.Bomber wrote:They should have just deducted three premierships points!
Fine makes a joke of a joke rule by a joke outfit.

I see City looking to offload Richards, Lescott, Rodwell and Sinclair. In addition Barry and Milner potentially looking for transfer, this would leave Hart only English player in City squad.
