West Adelaide vs Adelaide City
Should be a good game down at Kingston Gardens between two sides that remain unbeaten at this early stage of the competition. West Adelaide have recruited well in adding Ruth Wallace,Sally Treharne and ex-City girl, Jodie Bruce. Adelaide City remain a real force under the astute leadership of Eduardo Rosso. This promises to be an interesting clash and an early indicator of whether West Adelaide can wrestle the league crown from the black and whites.

Who did end up seeing the game today? How was it... Score reflects although it was a good game. All I heard was that the referee didn't have a great game at all and that it was against both teams.

Ref was fine.
first half was very tight... game opened up in the 2nd half.
both teams had their chances to win the game.
in the end a defensive mistake cost West Adelaide and handed the 3pts to City.
Overall i thought City played the better football for longer periods.

Re: West Adelaide vs Adelaide City
It was see-sawing game with both teams having periods of dominance. West started better and scored from a goalkeeping clanger. However, City fought back to equalise. Against the run of the play,West took the lead again from a powerful shot which was spilled by the City keeper. Again, City asserted itself and started to dominate and they equalised. In the last ten minutes of the game,City snatched the lead with a good header from one of the shortest girls on the pitch, Daniella Di Bartolo. She actually scored the last two goals. It was a tough, even and competitive encounter on a small pitch which didn't seem to favour two good footballing teams. The game could have gone either way with both teams creating chances. Maybe a draw might have been a fair result, but full marks to City for showing character to keep fighting back after "gifting" West with two goals. The referee had a decent game and didn't affect the outcome of the game with his decisions. As a neutral, I enjoyed the game and expect both these teams to be fighting for honours at the end of the season.

Re: West Adelaide vs Adelaide City
I too was at the West Adelaide V Adelaide City game and it was a hard game by both teams but i think its a bit harsh blaming the young Adelaide City keeper for the first goal as from where i was standing she was given an almighty shove in the side which made her spill the ball and should have probably been given the free kick. both teams played a very hard game with lots of pressure on the ball and some late chances by West Adelaide could have drawn the game but to the young Adelaide City keepers credit she made two cracking stops and some gutsy one on one saves, which i think made up for any mistakes she may have made, the three goals scored by City were of the highest standard the first by No 23 (sorry dont know her name) showing lots of composure in front of goal and the other two by Daniela Di Bartolo of the highest quality, It was a very hard win by Adelaide City and they showed a lot of character to go on and get all three points, i am looking forward to the next game by these two teams.
