Munno Para vs Adelaid Uni.
Typical pre-season game. Can't speak for Adelaide Uni, but Munno went into this a few players down but with a reasonably healthy squad. Conditions were hot, which maybe explains the horrible football that was played by both teams. It was dire, with far too many long, aimless balls played by both teams. Munno won 3-1 for what it is worth, but either side would have been taken to the cleaners by any other team that was well organised and playing decent football. Lots of work to be done by the coaches of both squads.

Blaming good weather for poor football? I think it is just poor footballers playing poor football...

It was 4v1. A little harsh assessment there I think too considering it was only the second game together. Some nice patches of play but definitely not a full 90 mins of football. And considering there were 6 sibs used and 4 a grade players out I think MP are moving in the right direction...

mp were deserved winners on sunday, they outplayed and out muscled adel uni. dont know where he got his assessment from! adel uni have got alot of work to do and dont know how they beat mod vista, all said good luck for the year!

I don't think it was a harsh assessment, just described what I saw - two teams that for large chunks of the game struggled to keep possession or string passes together.
I agree Munno dominated physically, but since when did that become the sole criteria for a good performance? It wasn't a criticism of the players or the coaching staff - there is a lot of talent in the squad, they are in good hands and this was only the second hit-out.
As I said, it was a typical pre-season game, they still have lots of work to do (which I am sure they will do), and by the time the season starts I have no doubt they will be ready.
