Re: World Cup Tickets
Only 15400 odd tickets allocated to Australian fans. With a minimum application of 3 tickets, that means they have only allocated 5000 tickets from the first round to Australian fans.
They had 88000 ticket requests from Australians. Means you had roughly a 17.5% chance of getting a ticket.

Re: World Cup Tickets
Missed out, waiting for the next round, this World Cup is so much harder than the last 2 flights and accommodation far more expensive, internal travel much harder and now tickets are an issue

Re: World Cup Tickets
Wouldnt want to be from Argentina.....266,937 applied and they only gave them 4,493 tickets - a paltry 1.68% chance of getting a ticket.
No love lost between Argentina and Brasil!!!!

With all the wonderful tools available via the internet, I should be able to work this out myself, but can someone smarter than me (which is most of you) give the exact time in South Australian time that the next stage opens?

Sao Paulo is three hours behind London (my sister is married to a Brazilian) and London is 10.5 hours behind us, so surely it would be 10.30pm?El Paso del Norte wrote:your time is right, but its the same dayKnight15 wrote:9am on the 11th, which I believe is 9.30pm on the 12th in Adelaide?

I don't know what barazillian time is quoted but based on your figures the time should be:Nice One Cyril wrote:Sao Paulo is three hours behind London (my sister is married to a Brazilian) and London is 10.5 hours behind us, so surely it would be 10.30pm?
brazil time + 24-(10·5+3)
= brazil time + 24-13·5
= brazil time + 10·5
(bearing in mind brazil has more than one time zone).

Re: World Cup Tickets
My son and his mates did OK, picked up three group matches, one round of 16, quarter final but missed the GF.

Re: World Cup Tickets
Not sure if this has already been posted but from what I gather the majority of the first ticket allocation went to venue-specific tickets, as opposed to team. Makes sense given that the fixture had not been drawn yet.
Hopefully we all have a bit more luck in the next allocation.

Re: World Cup Tickets
Oversubscribed for the France v Honduras and Belgium v South Korea games meaning I've got 4 tickets for sale to each of these games.
France v Honduras is on the 15th of June in Porto Alegre
Belgium v South Korea is on the 26th of June in Sao Paulo
I'm going as part of The Fanatics tour which sees us in the above cities at the above times so if anyone else is on the same tour these tickets may be of interest.
If otherwise interested just let me know.
Cheers
