SAASL Challenge Cup - Round 4 - Quarter Finals

West Beach ( 1 ) Parafield Gardens ( 4 )


Parafield Gardens took West Beach in their stride and won convincingly to progress into the Challenge Cup Semi Finals to be played September 15 at Hindmarsh.
But for some fine saves from Maurice Hewson, Gardens might have added many more goals to their tally in the slippery conditions.

I'm surprised that the game went ahead with the swamp on the pitch, thought an official ref would have postponed the game, it's good to see that some refs still let games go ahead in these conditions.

I'm surprised that the game went ahead with the swamp on the pitch, thought an official ref would have postponed the game, it's good to see that some refs still let games go ahead in these conditions.

The swamp was only one corner of the pitch...caused a few hiccups but most dealt with it well.
When I got there I thought that maybe the City Of West Torrens had created a new wetlands for storm water harvesting.
Be handy to have one of these Bow Dry devices....
