What was it like? Is it something that you would make a trip to do or just good to do if you happen to be in the area?

was there for work at the same time and was lucky enough to see lots of football in my downtime in between seminars.

In terms of what they do different to us?, not much really...the good coaches here are doing everything they do but the difference is they do it more often..3 trainings + game at 10-12 level.

Loads of academys and soccer camps very much like here take your pick really , some money making schemes some pure development....such a mix in the US- there is the european influence, the south american influence and the american conditioning influences

The barca coaches really worked on techinique- receivning correctly, weight of passes, creativity/decision making , agility in movement and 1st touch..probably the biggest thing is saw was their emphasis on 3-4 touches minimum rather than 2- 3 touches maximum

such a mix bag of styles, programs and training ...at least we focus on just the dutch system for now.

I really liked the fact that each MLS club has their own acadamys from 14's.

the college system is another beast all together.

Thanks for all your help there are some great suggestions here, I am coaching a school team and the parents asked me what was available as many are new to the game. Really great to see so much on offer that is affordable and accessible. Cheers

Yes I agree the park is free and fantastic fun with your friends, but I believe they were looking at some fun activities to organize with their kids that were structured and organized by someone else to give themselves some time out! Don't worry these parents are not wanting to sign up for everything just something to break up the holidays a bit a foster their children's current enthusiasm, which is great. Cheers
