in my case it was pretty simple. A few clubs rang me when they realised I was looking. I went to their training and made the decision to join one of them.

I then signed the forms and a week later enjoyed my first game in my new clubs shirt and didn't look back.

The most enjoyable part is when you get to play against your old club

Spot on, divers should get the same, refs should carry a couple of pink head bands so any players deemed to dive instead of giving them a yellow card they have to wear the pink head band until tackled, that tackle will be exempt from any free kicks or cautions, in fact if you stretcher someone wearing a pink head band you guarentee yourself to be in the best players that day.
The head band is given back to the red after the wearer has been tackled once, so teams don't want to waste the opportunity to fix up a diver.
