The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.

Pinkyellowblue.. You always seem to have an oppinion on Sturt Marion.. You stated sturt bought a team, and girls wanted out.. You made these comments with no inside knowledge what so ever! Maybe when you get over your jelousy issue with sturt Marion you will learn class!

seems to happen a lot in women's games, why do teams want to smash teams from lower grades in cup games , not like goal average counts.

What would have been a more acceptable approach in your eyes pinkyellowblue? Sturt prems didn't ask for a draw against their own reserves. If you were there to watch the game you would have seen that it was a high spirited game where the reserves fought until the end & the prems put some good play together.
A very blind opinion in my eyes. Don't you think Fitball?

Absolutely! It's no body's business what Sturt decided to do amongst themselves.

Sturt could easily have had the reserves forfeit as could the Knights but they did not.
I'm sure that the Prems coach didnt plan to "thrash" the reserves but rather play good football.

There was junior cup match. I think Jaguars vs ? other team only had 9 players. Jaguars went 3 -0 up very quickly, so their coach took 2 players off to even it up, shuffled his team around, think they still won by 7 or 8 goals.
Dont see that too often.

Jaguars Under 13 v ParaHills East Under 13 your spot on Caretaker Coach is there any purpose behind humiliating the opposition (no does not serve any purpose lets think what we are all in the game for). I watched the game and the coach did what he felt he needed to do on the day i think more coaches need to start thinking the same way as this guy, especially in the younger age groups.

apart from 3 players it is their reserve side from last year. they are currently rebuilding but do have some
good juniors coming through.

U13 blue - Jaguars v Para Hills East
Jaguars team second season in u13s
Para Hills East first time team together and only had 9.
Jaguars did not take of their main goal scorer.
Home team won 10-0.
How is that a good game for either team.
Just my take on it.

Looked to be a young side, they were 2 nil up in the first 15 mins.
By half time it was 2 all.
Yes Paul is coaching them.

Couldve been a lot worse if he left it like it was.

what happened to the rest of the squad from last year???? Sunday was a pretty bad result against a reserve side.

The competition needs a strong Cumberland, and what worries me is that Cumberland have always had good juniors, arguably the best, but the transition to seniors has been 'difficult' to say the least.

If that transition isn't fixed and it hasn't been for past 5 years, just producing good young talent for other clubs wont bode well for the future of the club. Hopefully the committee and coaches have a fix in place.

I think last years coach had a bit to do with it... and the girls that had issues with him looked elsewhere at the start of pre-season... they had already settled by the time the coach stepped down and was replaced with their current coaches.
I don't think its the end of the line for Cumberland. Same scenario that Sturt were in last year and look how thats turned out! Its just a rebuilding year and trying to pull a young / reasonably unexperienced team together.

I hear you and I hope your right, but Cumberland have been 'bleeding' players for five years now over 5 different coaches, so I think whatever the issue is, it goes deeper than last years coach and some continuity in coaching is now critical.

But on the positive, yes, Sturt have managed to turn it around in terms of numbers in a short space of time.

Like I said, the comp is in desperate need of a strong and vibrant cumberland. I hope they can rebuild successfully.
