Need some help from the tech heads out there.
any ideas re purchasing a portable wifi modem
Telstra has the 4g pre paid wifi, cost $149, but the recharge amounts are much more expensive as compared to optus ur vodafone.
But, Optus and vodafone have many coverage problems, is it worth it to save some $$ but not get the coverage??

Go for Optus unless you are spending most your time in the outback. Faster than Voda and cheaper than Telstra.

Pick up a telstra prepaid, something like this http://tinyurl.com/d3p7cwn, you can then use the new Kogan/telstra data sim, http://www.koganmobile.com.au/plans/, the kogan sim will work in the telstra modems but speeds are capped at 7mb/s (Telstra 3g network not 4g), only draw back is it's only 2gb for $9.95 which might not be enough data for you, this service craps all over my old TPG/optus service, speeds from my home would be around 0.08mb/s on my old service but easily do 3.00mb/s on the new sim, $5.95 if you want to test the sim out, might be worth a shot

Well you need to search for it. Google it and you can find the number of available options that best suit your requirements.

I'd rather come here and get advice from people I (sort of) know.
