What happened to your keeper from last year?
Good keeper and great on the park too.

Nolly stepped into goal when Dave left for Jets a few games into the season to help us out.Old Redback wrote:What happened to your keeper from last year?

So he is staying with us, but like you say, he is a handy player on the park and wants to play as an outfield player which is what he came to the club originally to do.

Just wondering if you've had involvement there previously?
Dave wanted to play on the field, so decided to leave...
Another one of 'those' keepers who want to be striker

Dave has no aspirations of playing as a striker. Yes, he wanted to just have a run on the park in a c team, after getting fed up. So, yeah naturally just left the club he'd been at all his life! no spots in your c's?

Wait til the Rebecca Cup and see where Dave is playing. Then try answering that question again.

I guess after in more recent years more players going from us to you, it's quite nice at the moment for the tide to be going the other way.
Dave is a very humble lad and doesn't deserve the wind up of wannabe striker, when it just seems so hard for some at the East to accept the possibility of him being fed up at the club. But I know how staunch East Boy is would never say that on here and show a sign of weakness!!
See you all for the Cup, will be a great day. And East Boy, you won't see me at work anymore, last day Tuesday.

bahahaha Rhino, not harsh
Its actually the reason Dave told everyone at the east why he left (to play on the field).... then 3 weeks later he was back in goal

Anyway, as I said players come and go, as you well know. Wheres the loyalty gone these bloody days.
Players play for the shirt and their mates. If they want to leave then we cant cry about it, just move on and get on with it.
I hope and think we have a great core of youngsters who do want to play for the club. Time will tell....
Heard about you jumping ship too rhino, Ill chat to you more at the reb shield game.
