Re: Arsenal
I wonder when they'll start calling for Arsene's head again.
Guardiola is free after all.
Maybe Dalglish? at least he won a trophy with Liverpool.
Fire drill again?

No problem replacing RVP's goals then

Am I missing something here? I'd be suprised if it even took 2 hours from hertfordshire to norwich and it would have gone past stanstead anyway.

They flew yes flew by plane to go hardly any distance!
I am missing why they couldn't drive 115miles!

Strange, I am assuming they would have used some little airfield somewhere in hertfordshire and norfolk. Otherwise the nearest airport to the training ground is stanstead and the nearest airport to norwich is stanstead.

Schalke are a good team... Why not make a thread about Madrid, City or Milan as well?

Wenger has defended Arsenal’s decision to FLY to East Anglia.NickyTanner wrote:No problem. And it's not a joke, Arsenal flew to Norwich.
The club chartered a private plane to make the 97-mile journey on Friday evening from Luton Airport to Norwich and the players were in the air for just 14 minutes.
Wenger insisted engineering works on the train line between London Liverpool Street and Norwich on Saturday were the problem.
He said: “Usually, we take the train and there was no train available so we decided to fly.
“We would have had to have driven up on the Friday afternoon and wouldn’t have known how long it would have taken.”
Bigger issues in football to worry about than Arsenal flying to a game at Norwich NickyT :?

Re: Arsenal
The point is it was a waste of money, and very environmentally unfriendly.
They should have gone by road like most would have.
Maybe they had jet lag hence being so poor?

Re: Arsenal
Lucky Arsenal again. Playing against 10 men, after the dumbest bloke in the league gets himself sent off, the could only manage an offside goal with the help of the inept officials. Even that was a lucky rebound off the bar.
Arsene must have been shat on by seagulls, trodden in shite and been carrying a rabbit's foot and a four leaf clover.

It amazes me that no one else tried to purchase Julio Cesar.
He was immense last night. If not for M`bia Arsenal would have had 1 point at best.
I thought Mackie had it at the end too.

I feel for Hughes, I mean how the hell do you legislate for a complete twat like M'bia? If I was the manager, I doubt he'd ever play for me again.Litmanen wrote:It amazes me that no one else tried to purchase Julio Cesar.

It's ridiculous, to be honest though, any team that swaps someone for Joey Barton has to wonder why there's a player going the other way.Nice One Cyril wrote:I feel for Hughes, I mean how the hell do you legislate for a complete twat like M'bia? Speaking of he's been pretty decent for Marseille. Must be all that European philosophy, cheese and wine he's exposed to now.
