Besides, there's nothing wrong with believing you're good (Rodgers that is) even before you prove it.
This bit was very true though
So, although I think he talks a good game and will be a success, nothing's proven yet.He also inherited a good squad at Swansea that was built up by Roberto Martinez and taken to the next stage by Paulo Sousa.

Re: Brendan Rodgers
Thought the bit about Moyes was highly entertaining. Moyes and Rodgers have the same silverware count at their clubs, yet one's a million miles ahead of the other.NickyTanner wrote:Did he sleep with Burleys wife?

And yes he has a flashy car.....that was given to him by the club! And it wouldn't surprise me if his mansion was the manager's residence owned by the club either considering it looked half full.
This stuff gives us all hope that one day we can too earn a buck in the journo game.

Re: Brendan Rodgers
he's not much of an orator/motivator....his pre-game talk was boring......

Re: Brendan Rodgers
i stopped reading at craig burley
he was a legend at celtic, part of the 97-98 squad that won the title, but the crap he has said about the club, and many of his former clubs, as a pundit means he is hated at parkhead
davie provan too

You dish out the statuses easilly up there!

The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil!

Re: Brendan Rodgers
And I'd have thought the disabled fans who gave him that picture
Would be quite proud and happy he has it hanging in his house,
Too many gifts like this get given away, its nice to see he appreciate
It so much.
Also I was at Derby when Gregory was there and the players held
Him in high regard and listened when he spoke, maybe Burleys
Ego is too big to admit that.

Re: Brendan Rodgers
lol what a fucking stupid article
if anything i think the Being Liverpool documentary has highlighted what a top guy Rodgers is and how he fits the bill of a modern manager. Treats his players like his sons, tries to get the best out of them with modern techniques.
If Liverpool can get another goal scorer to help Suarez, maybe a few heads in midfield and defence they'll be back up there in no time under Rodgers!

Nothing wrong with our midfield. Definitely need some reinforcements in attack and in defence, but our midfield is very strong.delfino_1936 wrote:lol what a bottle of shiraz stupid article

Not really sure what this means. All the clubs in the Premier League use English academy boys in the first team. Rodgers probably hasn't had much choice in the matter after the expected reinforcements didn't arrive before transfer deadline day.ozzie owl wrote:Great to see an EPL manager bucking the trend and using Englaish academy boys in the first team.

Look at the number of English players lining up in the EPL each week, some sides lucky to see one English player.
