Promototed and Relegated Teams

[absolutely appalled]

So which clubs have gotten relegated and which ones have gotten promoted? I know some lower league divs (Sunday div 4 as an example) has not yet finished, but would be good just to get a list throughout all the Divs of the final results without having to go through the other various topics to try work it out!

Was speaking to an official from the SAASL last week and he believed Bosna were not going to re nominate next year and that 2 teams would have to be relegated from each division as a minimum as this is in the constitution with 3 teams being promoted from Div 3. Meaning Macedonia and Beograd being relegated from Div 2 and Munno Para, TTG & Para Hills coming up from Div 3.

Bosna have been relegated. The more likley case is for there to be a vacancy in Div 3 and hence 3 teams promoted from Div 4.

They can't make a decision until they know if Bosna are going to fill a team though or not.

Constitution is always 2 get relegated no less no more !! But 3 can be promoted !! Which is what I believe will happen ! in Div 2/3

Saturday/Sunday Div 2 this season with 9 teams.....Port Pirie coming back and not starting in the lowest division....Usc Lions chosing what division they want to play in this season........Off the top of my head.

Bosna were listed in all the fixtures on the SAASL Website....they were suspended from competing for one season (I believe) suffice to say, they (in theory) finished bottom of Division 2 with no points (they were above Southern Knights for the first 6 games on goal difference )...and will be relegated to Division 3. If they do not nominate a team for Division 3 another team will have to be promoted (?) to fill the vacancy....just saying !
Most teams in the lower eschelons of Division 2 believed this to be the scenario !

Given Beograd's attitude to the last game, I'm pretty sure they thought they were safe. I believe the league said only one would go down from Division 2, however I wouldn't put it past them to change their mind

If I was Beograd I would seek immediate clarification - I think it would be very unfair if they were relegated given we all believed only one team would be going down

Perhaps but what I meant was, if you are told one thing and something else happens it's a bit unfair

We spoke before the game and suggested we needed to make sure we won so we couldn't finish bottom 2, but they appeared not to be too worried

AGREE

If the Constitution says TWO must be relegated, then surely the TWO are Bosna and Macedonia (no need to involve Beograd, or Para Hills). It is a problem for Div 3......

If Bosna do not nominate, then promote THREE from Div 4.

If I were Beograd, I would be lawyered up ASAP.

And possibly Para Hills are not going to rattle the cage if they are not promoted..............

Hopefully they don't go the legal route, I don't want SAASL having to spend money on lawyers for crap like that.
This is the amateur league not the a-league, surely it's better that Beograd just have a conversation with the league officials and state their case.

Ok, reality check, this is amateurs.

Bosna were suspended for a year and will be relegated to div 3 along with the macoes.

If another team goes down .... I dunno why because it would be a shortage in div 3 not div 2.. Then the league will devise a strategy and let us know.

I don't think any decision will be ,see until season 2013 and nominations are in.

Common sense would say backfill div 3 with an extra team from div 4 and so on etc....

There will be no need for lawyers from us or sassl... Happy for the league to advise us whenever they are ready... I seriously doubt 3 will go down from div 2... But... And the end of the day... We finished 3rd to bottom... Our last game had nothing to do within
being "safe" from relegation etc... We dropped plenty of points during the season which we should have gotten to push us up higher than where we finished.

No where this year has the SAASL officially said only one team would be relegated, think this was just presumed by many. The SAASL expected normal constitution rules to apply a minimum of 2 competing teams in the Division to be relegated.

And swanny to help answer your question. We were in touch with the league at seasons start over the issue you speak of and it will definitely be Bosna and one other side relegated.
