Re: Adelaide City Trials For 2013 Season
this is a genuine question - just wondering if you have any difficulty convincing parents to pay $500 in fees for their kids to play Under 6s? It does seem a lot for that age group who are only playing a modified game after all.needplayers wrote:ACFC Juniors Trials For 2013 Season

$500 is with the full kit (top, shorts, socks)this is a genuine question - just wondering if you have any difficulty convincing parents to pay $500 in fees for their kids to play Under 6s? It does seem a lot for that age group who are only playing a modified game after all.
all under 6's and 7's train once a week and will play on same sundays.
team will be training for about 24 weeks in the year for 1.5 hours a week.
apox 36 hours a year
when you take the price of the kit off, you pay apox $10 a hour for you kids to play soccer.
And we still have to take the coaches payment out.
I don't think it is too bad

$500 U6/7's full kit and one night a week training.. Wow
$300 full kit and two nights a week then is obviously a bargain.. Leaves $200 for boots shin pads and more

The have & the have nots, i have been coaching juniors for a few years ( and not little kids ), never been paid a cent, but did get a jacket this season .
Re: Adelaide City Trials For 2013 Season
For those of you who are interested in trialing out at Adelaide City, I would ask some important questions before you hand over your money.
1. Does the club have a constitution?
2. Will there be any changes within the current junior committee?
I tell you what I do look forward to, Zito and Gus walking around the club like they are King Kong, they have no idea they are named “Shrek and Donkey” of AC …. Oops that just slipped out.

Re: Adelaide City Trials For 2013 Season
its been very interesting reading comments from current ac junior parents and junior ac committee members on this site lately......clubs like raiders who concentrate more on junior player development may well expect more kids at their trials this year....the more clubs promote junior development ahead of results the better for the game in this state.

So no need to tell them to 'F OFF'

Chalky if you want to have a personal attack on myself or Gus you just have to walk up to me at the club. You don't need to hide behind a user name on a Junior ForumFor those of you who are interested in trialing out at Adelaide City, I would ask some important questions before you hand over your money.

Looks like there will be a vacancy in one of the teams next year.Chalky wrote:Mr Zito, why do you receive so much negative press on this forum and in the community? Do you seriously believe people out there have just chosen to pick on you? No.
I’ll tell you why, you have made the junior club all about yourself, you have been named on this forum as an egotist, and you fit the title perfectly. But there is one problem, you think so highly of yourself and your abilities to not only coach but to run a junior football club, that you have ignored the reason you are there, it’s to develop and play the game the way it should be played and you are not fulfilling the criteria, it’s not about you.
I, along with others watched you at the VW Cup, and yet again you took over and the result showed, there were players who were fatigued due to lack of rotations, no structure and the coaches who have had these boys all season had to watch from the sidelines, this is just one event, and there have been countless others.
As for the constitution, make it accessible to everyone then, put it on your website for all to see.
So tell us, how was your junior committee elected in?
Why is your son still at City, if you have these feelings and thoughts???
Why not confront the person and be a real man/woman, instead of hiding behind a username!!!
The club doesnt need parents like you to come on a forum and hide behind a username, maybe confront the committee and express your views.
P.S. the grass isnt always greener at other clubs, which i think your about to experience.
P.P.S not sticking up for Mr Zito but the club.

Trials are mid-Oct, and the cost this year was mid $600, which included 2 strips and tracksuit top
I dont know what it will be next year and when coaches are announced, as I think they are still asking for applicants
