Yes it is true - were outplayed by Inter and looked flat.

Nice first post by the way - I'm sure it makes you feel great but I am sure that the Downs aren't going to be too worried that some faceless nobody thinks it is funny that it has taken them til the 10th game inthe season to drop any points.

Well done to Inter Lads, great effort by all. It just shows that sometimes you dont need to spend big $$$ to win games, it just takes a great team effort which was given by all the boys!!! Enjoyed this win very much, now onto next week. :D

No, you are right MOUSE... as they beat your rabble with 10 men, I am sure they are worried about playing you, at home, with a full 11.

keep looking back you ball lick, how many blowie's did you give last year.....  so how many have we won at home this year? counts for nothing you ball lick....We at the Downs know how hard it is to win a league and no one at the club is taking anything for granted, lots of hard games to come and a lot of hard work to be done getting to our goal this year. I would like to thank all the non downs supporters for keeping our name in lights I suppose it goes to show we must be doing something right if you keep mentioning us every day on this forum and like the parafeltchers the last 2 years everyone enjoys getting stuck into the top side. Bring it on and keep mentioning our club all you want because we dont get sick of hearing it.... 8)

If your team was ever to win the league wouldn't you want to look back over the season and be proud of how your team played? or would you be happy to just win - at any cost?

The tactics that seemed to be employed against Gardens were nothing short of disgraceful. From the side lines it appeared that the best player in the league for the last three years was targeted (please tell us he wasn't) and it is still evident by the stud marks and cuts on the back of his leg over a week later. It was a despicable act and as a consequence he was unable to play last week and is now seriously considering retirement as like 99% of players in the league he needs to go to work during the week.

To most, winning amateur soccer titles at any cost just ain't that important.

I agree but in fairness, I don't know of any club or any coach that tells players to go out and take them out. Players are marked, some more tightly than others but I don't the direct intent is to injury. The better players get kicked more simply because they are better and the defending players when tackling, miss and hit the legs. Bad challenges go in but those are either error of judgement by the other player or brain snaps.

But when the ref books a player for a bad challenge all he gets is abuse from the player's bench and team. Can't have it both ways, either you want bad tackles outlawed or not. Or maybe everyone only wants the tackles against them punished?

I strongly disagree You Too we play Mens Div.1 Sunday not Saturday  It's the Toughness of our Game & Players that Appeals to me & most....
Lets be honest mate Pauly plays the game as Hard as anyone & some of his tackle especially in the Early days well lets just say he never pulled out of any...
Pauly is our Captain & plays the game hard & fair thats why he is 3 Time Player of the Year, does that mean his never made a poor challenge or injured a oppersition player from that tackle NO.
What Nathan did to Pauly against the Gardens was disgusting it wasn't a poor challenge it was an intent to do damage to Pauly, which he did. Everything else in that game I believe is what we expect from our players week in week out. Pauly is always going to get attention & his going to cop a kick when oppersition players have the opportunity that's life...
And I know Pauly would agree with me when I say...
WINNING ISN'T THE ONLY THING IT'S EVERYTHING!!!

You're a total load of bollocks Nugget.

If your use the search function hard enough you will find a topic where you did nothing but insult me in regards to calling out Day for what he did to one of our players, and yet when it happens to one of your own you spread disrespectful comments over every topic on this forum.

Practice what you preach you twit.

You're right, but I do think players need to be a little bit more restrained in what they say than your average spectator.

Unsure if you are for real Nugget or just being a tool on purpose. You are unbelievably hypocritical. So just because you are a spectator you are allowed to call people out when they do something to one of your players, yet when someone else gets done by the same player - they are a whinger just because they happened to be on the field?

Right, top logic. Someone get this guy to the LHC on the double.
Tommy: We've lost Gorgeous George.

Brick Top: Well, where'd you lose him? He ain't a set of fucking car keys now, is he? And it ain't as if he's incon-fucking-spicuous now, is it?
