BUT in junior soccer one ot the most frustrating thing is players who get recognition and elevation for no other reason than their name or who their father is/position held in the club/was/could have been...there are lots of those around...

No wonder Australian soccer isnt going anywhere...and wont go anywhere fast. Talent isnt necessarily the "show ponies" who more than often stuff up, but the hard workers who are consistant..week in, week out, regardless of the opposition or scoreline. They may not be flamboyant in their play, or captains because of how many relatives or mates in the team, but are relyable and are the under-stated and under-estimated leaders of the team. There are more of those players around, if only they were acknowledged,
