Re: Interchange rule
In the C's I think it has to be by mutual agreement between the two teams. If one team doesn't agree than it is played by the usual rules of 3 subs. In saying that, I have never come across a team who hasn't agreed to the unlimited interchange.

Genuine C Team leagues have interchange. However, some of the C Team divisions have first teams in them. As such those divisions don't have interchange unless by agreement.
Re: Interchange rule
Rang the SAASL to confirm this for our game on the weekend.
C teams are interchange. There does not have to be mutual agreement between the coaches. (This is for Sat Div 6, unsure about other C teams)
The number of players who can be interchanged is as many as fits on the team sheet (5 on the bench) meaning you can have a matchday squad of 16 for that side.

Correct......Unless it is Div 5 and the opposition team claims they don't understand English..God is an Englishman wrote:Azzurri80 wrote:In the C's I think it has to be by mutual agreement between the two teams. Our C's made the arrangement with their club Ref and captain before kick off...At half time they came over and said "you can only have 3 subs", their excuse was the above.
Re: Interchange rule
As far as I was informed by SAASL - you can have 5 subs & any C-Grade game is interchange this season.
Last season - both teams had to agree to interchange, but apparently that rule was dropped for this season.
C-Grade = Interchange (with upto 5 on bench)

Re: Interchange rule
The munchers in our reserves game last week asked if we wanted to play with five subs. When we said no, because we only had three anyway, they got pissed cos they'd brought five subs. Wtf?
