RBE 1 - COMETS 1.
Draw was a fair result.
Managed to go ok against the "big boys" - and avoided getting smashed.

Prelim Cup

A's: ACU Falcons 1 - 5 Mt Compass
B's: ACU Falcons 0 - 5 San Marco

Not the worst result given neither team had a proper keeper but still disappointing.....

Modbury were clinical in the A's but great to see Vipers have the heart to fight back, some great play to watch.

B's....Vipers looked the goods and should have been more.

C's....Vipers 35's held on for 2 all draw....Not bad for a bunch of old fellas..

End of the day the chicken roll was the winner and Rhino I will shout you a beer back on the return leg... :)

The Salisbury Villa "Club Marshall" was even getting into fights.
The ref would have given about 5 red cards out today, but didnt for only one reason, he didnt want to end up in hospital.
Disgrace from Villa today from the players and fans
Let's me guessbwho the ref was??? There is starting to be a common denominator

Wasn't at the game but if the teAms are different and it's the same ref surly the clubs can't be at fault for bringing the game into disrepute ?

If it was as bad as you say it was and the ref feared for his safety then you might find after the ref gives his version of events to the league that Salis Villa may of just played their last game for 2012. Any team that have (or would have) had 5 red cards handed out to them should not be playing.

F off idiot, you cant blame a ref if there are fights. Ur a dead head, full on. There is no excuse for physical violence. People like you being the game into disrepute not the refs u muppet. Sals villa have been known to have a go at any ref no matter what. Couple of gd blokes down there but a couple of clowns that ruin it...

Villa has been kicked out twice before, so it is the same teams. Just got the right connections.

Re the S. VIlla/Stirling game, from what I have read so far I would say kick them out. There should be a zero tolerence on this type of behaviour and by the sounds of things it seems like S.Villa have a history of this sort of behaviour. Saying all this, there are always two sides of the story so I eagerly await a response from S.Villa about these incidents before I make judgement.

I was driving along South Rd and I saw one team (not sure which one) wearing all black and both teams wearing black socks. The 3 match officials were all wearing yellow. Seems like common sense has prevailed.

kopite_10 wrote:im not blaming the ref for the fights. Villa were the ones to initiate it on and off the pitch (why do crazy angry villa fans have to beat up someone..just because he has a camera?). And ofcourse there is no excuse for physical violence. And this was a mistake from the ref to continue to game for the remaining 5 minutes. Cause stirling players didnt want there legs broken. The villa keeper was going to thump the ref if not for a team mate to stop him. Calling the ref a C*nt over and over, and not to even get booked. Clearly the ref just didnt want to get beaten up like they have done in the recent past..who blames him!! Let me tell you this, if this happens every week down that way, there will be refs no or players wanting to play.

Mate the ref ruined the game from the onset by switching the linesmen to their own forward line, and as he admitted at half time, he will not be taking any calls from the stirling linesman due to his poor performance in the first half.

I too was disgusted at the vents that took place on and off the pitch today, but remember why they started! A stirling player (the giraffe wearing number 16) punched the villa player from behind - thats what got it started, and yes then a spectator thought it would be funny to pull his camera out of his bag and start taking photos, only one punch was thrown so far and that was by No. 16.

The guy with the camera was told to put it away by a Villa spectator who was then king hit from behind....and yes that is what started all this bullshit.

The ref tried to over officiate the game - f f s we are only amateurs trying to play soccer. You can blame Salisbury Villa as much as you want, but Stirling were no angels themselves. The referee should also be held accountable for his own actions too!

There is a public statement and a letter to clubs about it on the SAASRA web site. Four clubs have been given permission to wear their strip for this year. If a brand new club enters the League this year and has a black strip because they were never told well there is a lack of communication somewhere.
