I think it doesn't matter how good a player they were....if they couldn't bring 100% of their game to the socceroos then I don't think they qualify....I'd nominate Lucas Neil or Cahill

i like your style, paul wade though? didnt he just kick ppl

porky im not sure that socceroo performances are part of this, otherwise marston would have no chance. i agree that dukes didnt really produce for oz, but i think he was the best player for the longest amount of time - and definately had the most ability

From the players I have seen. Harry Kewell at the peak of his powers is a clear winner. At the time he was in the top five players in the world. No Australian comes close. Zelic and Dukes could definately turn it on but Harry during his Leeds days won many games himself.

agree with you about harry. hard to ignore he only did it for a few seasons though. although the dukes that put 4 past liverpool couldnt be too far behind?

agree Dukes on his day was as good as anyone its just a pity those days weren't as often as IMO they should have been often due to injury though. I always wonder with him what might have happened if he went to Man U instead of Saha like what was planned.

There's something about when Tim Cahill plays...the team seem to lift a couple gears

I would definately have Timmy in the Socceroos best XI (that I have seen) But IMO Zelic, Dukes and Harry are still a class above.
