Toros and Flinders from Div1 to Reserves by the look of it. Doubt it'll affect the rest of the div's much

So is it a true Prems/Reserves League with both teams playing at the same venue?? And will there be a separate Reserves Cup this year??

Let's just try to get the season started. The cup round honestly methinks is just a wasted round. Cup rounds are good if you have 3 or more divisions in the one age group eg: /u16 a, b, and c.
Where you have just one grouping what is the point really? Have the top 2 or have playoffs with the top 4 in the div to win the league or the year. Waste of time otherwise.
Cheers

One more club to be added to the reserves list to make 10 Prems and Reserve teams.
Seaford or Stirling??
The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.

Stirling won div 1 last year so wouldn't that make them the better choice?

after going to watch a few games at burton last weekend there will be a few teams getting belted in prems , stupid move to put these teams up this time of the year, how are the clubs supposed to recruit, and maybe toros would have kept there b&f from last season if they were told much earlier that they are in the prem league , once again a huge error from mr and mrs carter , OPEN YOUR EYES AND SMELL THE ROSES !!!!! they aint smelling that good

I'm curious as to whether you have any suggestions? What would you have done if faced with only 4 premier league clubs returning from last year and only one state league side really ready for promotion? And no carrying on about how we got here, we're here so offer a solution.

I havent seen too many (non 2011 prem/res teams) play
Is there that much difference with the ones that have come up?
getting flogged to me seems strange especially as the club my daughter is with is quite young this year and they seem to hold their own well enough. Her former club had slightly older girls (reserves) and their prems were good looking at the ladder as were the reserves now her new club has younger players in prems/reserves so I would have thought former state teams would do well enough against them.

am i wrong in assuming this.

From what I saw on the weekend there seems to be quite a gap between the top five teams (City, Metro, Fulham, Uni, and Cumby) and the other five (Knights, Toros, Flinders, Sturt and U15/16 state). There may be some upsets in the middle along the way, but there will be some thumpings- It would be nice if clubs could act in the best long-term interest of the competition and get creative about how they play when they are winning by 5 goals in the first half. Some will and some won't, I imagine.

junior you cant give a club 4 weeks to be ready to play in the premier league, no recruiting how is that going to work.., they should have just left it with 6- 8 teams and give clubs a season to be ready for it not 4 weeks.....
