EXCLUSIVE: THE greatest player ever, Diego Maradona, could be visiting Australia in January for a series of talks promoting the game.
The Argentine legend, who is currently head coach at UAE side Al-Wasl, is in discussions to head out for three days between 20-22 January 2012, where mainstream interest in one of football's greatest ever players and most colourful characters is likely to be high.
The man behind Maradona’s trip is Euro Soccer Skills Academy director Zlatko Maric, has an exclusive mandate to secure Maradona's visit to Australia. Maric has contacts with FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, global super agent Josep Maria Minguella and has taken his unique skills program to Barca and Madrid with success. He is now looking to leverage his Euro contacts to enable a massive coup for Australian football.
“I received a phone call from Maradona’s agent Silvio Fontana who wanted to work together to bring Maradona to Australia,” Maric exclusively told au.fourfourtwo.com. “We have the opportunity to bring Maradona to Australia for three days – at three different locations. We have already talked to Sydney FC, Newcastle Jets, and we plan to take him to Melbourne too.”

There is also the possibility that Maradona could be holding pre-match speeches at the Week 16 A-League fixtures in January at three different cities if possible.

"It is a unique opportunity for the Australian public to see what it takes to become great from the greatest footballer of all time. It will be a celebration of football for three days in Australia. Maradona has said what I am doing with my skills programs reminds him of his childhood and we want to promote that football is about freedom of expression.”

My definition of a degenrate is someone who cheats at a World Cup tournament by taking PED's and scoring goals with his hand. Someone who doesn't take responsibilty of the children they fathered.
