Man United v Chelsea

Post by Chelsea4thewin »

Hopefully see a celebration similar to this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQx2F5WV7_k

But in all honesty i dont think we can beat United in the kind of form they are in, we are starting to look better but still not sure if we can hold them off

still think it will be 2-1 United but if we can take a point home i will be happy

No Cleverely is actually huge i reckon.
If he doesn't play and Phil Jones isn't moved into the midfield then Carrick or Fletcher will have to play.
I think that's definitely an advantage for us.
We've already lost our best player for half the year so we're always below full strength unfortunately (Essien for those of you playing at home).
If we can defend Man U's width then we'll be ok. That's where the game will be won or lost i think.

Still, Man U at Old Trafford is never gonna be easy :(

I reckon he might drop Bosingwa and to be honest it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Defensively he's a bit shaky, and we can't afford that against Ashley Young/Nani.

I dont actually agree with this comment, when we had Essien last year he just wasnt right, maybe when he's fully fit and confident he is up there with the best

Lineup will be as follows i reckon

Cech
Bosingwa Ivanovic Terry Cole
Ramires Merieles Lampard
Anelka Torres Mata

I'd start Sturridge instead of Anelka.

In my opinion once Fletcher is fit he is the first midfielder on the teamsheet. He then plays alongside a more creative midfielder like Cleverly or Anderson. Centre midfield is still our weakest area but Fletcher will play a big role this season if he stays fit.

Will be interesting to see if Valencia starts on Sunday as he gave Ashley Cole an absolute roasting last time out at OT, he was also our best player against Benfica. In form Young or Nani would have to miss out though!

Form wise we will be favourites to win but it really counts for nothing as Chelsea have the players to beat anyone on their day.

2-0 United

Sturridge has been good but not sure if he is ready to tackle united, i just think Anelka offers something more and he has been great this season. He comes in a lot more and i think him and Mata can switch wings throughout the game, Sturridge seems to stick to the touchline too much

I'd prefer Sturridge to start and have Anelka come on and hopefully have the same impact he did against Leverkusen off the bench

I don't think Ivanovic and Bosingwa can handle Young, Nani, Rooney & Pea. An early yellow card to either of them and they're done.

No such thing as a bad challenge on Looney.
Time for some righteous indignation

^^

All strikers get manhandled, Boyata actually strangled Drogba at one point last year and got away with it.

The defender was flat footed for the pen so all zhirkov had to do was just poke it passed him and run into his legs.
Partly the defenders fault for standing there like a plank IMO.

Don't see Anelka starting, in an interview this morning when asked 'Does Nicolas Anelka want to leave?' he replied with a simple 'Yes,' but then elaborated on how the club wants to keep him, he becomes a free agent fairly soon I think
