Re: Sunday Results - 22nd May 2011
Pontian 3 east 2
Pontian came back from 2-0 down to get the winner in injury time. They also missed a penalty. They possibly over run us in the second half, but we certainly had our chances to wrap it up.
Disappointing result for us after a really positive start, but you gotta play for 90.....
I'm sure the boys will hit the track hard & be ready to get back to winning ways next week.

Correct 2 - 1. Clean sweep and a great win today despite the shitty conditions for all teams.ROBBO wrote:Final scoresROBBO wrote:Farm were 1-0 up with Florina with 10 left :?

Gardens 35s v Downs 35s drew one all in a pretty feisty encounter with some punch ups but nuggett was nowhere to be seen, got a feeling that may be the case for the rest of the week..........

Fantastic game to watch as a neutral and some cracking goals from both teams. Almost felt a draw would be a fitting result, but Pontians just got that last gasp effort that now sees them top. Well done both teams who both gave 100% in tough conditions.East Boy wrote:Pontian 3 east 2

Thanks to Pontains for the beers shouted (Greek beer called Vergina's) and Easties for graciousness (although I can tell they were devasted as any team would be from 2-0 up and lose). Great day out.
hard place to go and get a result and they were sooooooo close.

True but Easties first goal was a TOG (mis-clearnace that went in), Pontians missed a penalty, so you could argue either way.carra23 wrote:My mail was Easties could have scored 2 more before that last gasp winner..................Bomber wrote:Fantastic game to watch as a neutral and some cracking goals from both teams.
