Australia deserved to win it though. The card to Cahill was absolutely dismal. Beauchamp will learn from his mistake. The youngster will improve on his performance for the upcoming games.

Couldn't believe the goal at the end. They just stopped concentrating. Overall though I thought Aust played well.

Overall it was a good performance although Arnie was restricted in his team selections by the need to give each of the retiring players a chance to be given a send-off by the crowd.

Not many managers would have done what he did and it is to his credit that he allowed his players to leave with dignity.

The emotion created made it a special night for everyone and laid the base for the future of 'Team Australia'.

The own goal was just one of those things that happen.

The players were emotionally drained and poor Beauchamp was caught cold.

Mind you i thought Schwartzer was at fult too.

His positioning was shocking for a supposedly world class keeper.

It's an aspect of his game i have had concerns about for some time.

Agree about Schwartzer. Wasn't at all prepared for it. I think he thought Beauchamp had it under control. Stupid error for an international keeper.

I thought AUSTRALIA DESERVED A WIN, BUT IT WAS A RATHER BORING TYPE OF GAME.

It was a typical game against South American opposition.

Paraguay are regarded as one of the best defensive sides in the world so we can be proud that we managed to even score against them.

England only scored against them because they had Beckham playing.

Everything England did good in the WC came from his boot.
