On the plus side, it would be good to be playing after 3pm again

It was 4-0 to the Vale.
PHW had some good patches and knocked the ball around well. Thanks to Brad and the PHW lads for playing under some ordinary conditions (Constant Rain and not the best lights) it was a good game and a good run in the legs for both teams with the league soon approaching.
At the end of it all there will still be Football !!
It wasn't Bad but its Far from Good !

The inaugural Vipers President v Coach's select today at Woody High.

The Presidents men got up 7-3 in the end.

The Coaches side had a couple of his important players pull out at the last minute but the managerial
skills of El Presidento won out in the end.

Great day with the Viper Van pumping out the beer and food once the whistle blew.

Hahndorf boys would be pretty happy with a solid hitout a week before the season starts I'd imagine

ISC Raptors vs Beograd

As ISC Raptors 1 Beograd 0

Put simply, Beograd has about 10 chances in the first half all from within the 18 yard or even 6 yard box. Not clinical enough in front of goals, this is a lesson learned and hope will be addressed at training. This is simply not good enough

Bs ISC Raptors 1 Beograd 4
Solid performance by the Bs/Cs for Beograd. One goal an absolute pearler about 25 yards out by a super sub.

Vista looked ok throughout the game, didn't have a great deal of chances but took the ones given to them. Most Div 1 and 2 sides that I have seen this year have fielded sides that aren't at 100% so it will pan out to be a very tight and interesting season over the two divisions.

Yeah it does. Straight red for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity is the only straight red with a minimum one match ban, all other straight reds carry a minimum two match ban according to SAASL disciplinary rules.

Although (having just read them again), 'serious foul play' is 'according to the nature of the offence' so a tackle from behind might only get one week.

The only other red card that carries a minimum one week is for two yellows, which seemingly did not occur here.

Must have been Andrew McConnell for the Gardens if it was a 17 yr old.
