fulham struggled to cross the half way line.
long season ahead.
is that why city's defence looked so shakey?
im glad city won, as they deserved to. its jst refreshing to c passing based style of game as opposed to the typical ffsa womens styule of boot it up front.

Am I not looking in the right place ?

Re: Charity Cup
I only saw the second half but I can't remember once when AC weren't all over them! If they converted half of what they created the score would have been seriously embarassing.courtz wrote:pinkyellowblue wrote:a great style???

I thought one team played a good brand of football with good passing and good ideas but, sorry, that wasn't Fulham. Maybe one day Fulham will become good, but for now apart from G. Macri and N.Burgess they are just not up to standards.
And yeah, if Olympic played them they would have smashed them for sure IMO.Super_Trooper wrote:I'm sure if Olympic were playing they would have smashed them both hahaha! Team of the Year LOL!

Re: Charity Cup
a complete shambles as being evidenced with many Super league clubs currently in revolt and threatening a break away league in the men.The General wrote:I didnt even know it was on ? nothing on the FFSA website, cant even find the women's fixtures, doesnt the season start soon ?

the approach of the majority of the Prem Women clubs to FFSA crying out that the administration of the game was in crisis last year was a harbinger of things to come .....
Re: Charity Cup
i went down there specifically to see this match. Adelaide city completely dominated this match from start to finish and were technically superior to Fulham. I actuallysaw Olympic on sunday and still think City look the better side

Re: Charity Cup
Olympic the strongest IMO.
AC, Metro and Cubmy also very strong.
Fulham and Sturt a step behind.
S.Adelaide unknown.

suprised no one put something up on here to promote this game before hand. The General wrote:I didnt even know it was on ? nothing on the FFSA website, cant even find the women's fixtures, doesnt the season start soon ?

FFSA haven't done very well promoting any of the pre season games this year, nothing about the U/15 & U/17 tournament, nothing about the Charity cup. Are the promotions department and IT tech on holidays still?

i think city play a nice brand of football which made it a bit of a specatacle. Fulham seem to have lost a lot of last years squad and may struggle

i was told they lost to City 13-0 last season, so they seem to have improved...El Soldado wrote:i think city play a nice brand of football which made it a bit of a specatacle. Fulham seem to have lost a lot of last years squad and may struggle
Re: Charity Cup
To be honest, Fulham were outplayed.
But come on, there are only a couple of people from last years squad still there and the rest are young 15 and 16 year olds brought up from the reserves and u/17 so give them a break - 3-1 is quite a good scoreline for their first hit out as a team against a quality opposition. A lot of young talent there....in about five years, they are going to be a gun team

Re: Charity Cup
Fulham have got some great young players out there, they'll improve every game and do well.

Re: Charity Cup
how about giving them a chance!
you cant expect instant superstars!
judge them half way through the season if you must!
but give them a year, to develop and learn!
keep in mind, you wonder why we dont have girls staying in the game past 17/18/19 yrs of age.
maybe its because of all the twits who have standards that arent realistic, and all they do is bag these young girls, instead of giving them advice and encouragement!
i know theres plenty wrong with the game, and the current state of it, but really pity rivalries and comments just hold the game back.

Re: Charity Cup
Also the fact that no club will be playing their best football now, we've (Metrostars) learnt the hard way of being at your best for round 1, it means you're usually not at your best for the final game of the season which is the one that counts unfortunately in this country.BillShankly wrote:how about giving them a chance!

Burgo will have some hard work to do with such a young squad but Im sure the girls will be in a better posistion personally at the end of the season than they are now, thats usually the important point when dealling with a young squad, development/improvement.

Re: Charity Cup
Fulham werent that bad like some people in this thread are making it seem...maybe they just have something against the club? Look like a fairly young team so in time, with the players they have will develop into a much stronger team.
Re: Charity Cup
finally it seems like some people have their head screwed on straight.
It's about time some people realised that it takes more than two months to put together such a young team and make them instant superstars. Give them time. They will make it eventually
