CREWE ALEXANDRA TRAINING WEEK

Following the successful visit of Crewe Alexandra Academy coach Jim Vince to Adelaide in 2010 we will once again be operating the Pro Academy training week this forthcoming Easter school holidays.

Jim has worked alongside Crewe Alexandra first team coach Dario Gradi MBE within the World famous Crewe Alexandra Academy for the past three years and has a proven track record for player development and talent spotting within the UK Professional circuit.

The week will focus on individual player development and will be delivered by Jim Vince. It will give you the opportunity to be assessed by a Professional UK Academy coach right here in South Australia and you will be offered an honest and upfront assessment without the expense of travelling overseas.

Each player will also be given an action plan for future development. ie areas that need working on and improving to reach the level required to even be considered for life as a professional footballer within in the UK. The week operates to educate players, parents and coaches alike to the levels of discipline, attitude and performance required to play overseas aswell as revealing some of the secrets of the Pro Academies.

WHY CREWE ALEXANDRA? Crewe Alexandra are a small town club based in North West of the UK, yet are World renowned for their youth development program. The club do not have the money to buy players and survive solely on their ability to identify and develop talent and by selling on their talent to the other clubs. Jim's Academy team recently played Manchester United and ran out comfortable 3-1 winners with Manchester United enquiring as to the availability of a number of the Crewe's players. First team starlet Nick Powell who is playing first team football at the age of 16 was recently the subject of a $2.5 million bid from Arsenal which was turned down due to the fact that he is considered to be the top player for his age in the UK and in the current climate will be worth 5 times that when he reaches 18.

The top Premiership clubs in the UK can afford to buy their juniors, Crewe Alexandra survive by developing their juniors into elite professional players and selling them to the Elite clubs.

To keep the quality of of the week the numbers are strictly limited and last year were sold out. Every endeavour has been made to make the training week as affordable as we can therefore prices for the training week will remain the same as last year. *We want to make this course accessible to everyone therefore in special circumstances there may be concessions available, these will be assessed on an individual basis.

TIMES? Under 12s 8:30 - 11:30 A.M Under 15s 12Noon - 3:00 P.M. 16+ 3:30 - 6:30 P.M. (Times may vary on Good Friday)
