Ronaldo left out by Brazil

Post by Reggina10Cozza »

Dunga has left star striker Ronaldo out of Brazil's squad for the friendlies against Ecuador on October 7 and Kuwait three days later. Ronaldo has yet to play for his club Real Madrid after a knee operation following the World Cup in which Brazil were knocked out in the last-eight by France.

He stil knocked in 3 goals out of 5 matches in world cup... although I tend to agree he is past his best as well as being fat, but i dnt doubt his finishing quality!!!

i don't dout his finishing quality either, its probably one of the best but as you said he is overweight and slow. He is way past his best and didn't see him run much when he did play

going by your theory the careers of Adriano, Lampard, VN rooy, and all the other high profile players who did poorly at the world cup should retire.

Despite Ronaldo being unfit and playing poorly in the world cup, he still managed to score 3 goals

IF ronaldo got skinny and fit he COULD play another world cup but he is running out of time....he definetely has the ability but with so many younger quality brazilian strikers....eg adriano, robinho, julio baptista, diego etc his chances will be limited.....dunga will be looking to the next world cup in 2010 and making his own mark on the national team...it would seem dropping ronaldo is his mark.....the other question is if ronaldo wants it bad enough or if he is content on letting things play out its natural course?

Great players do not lose the skill they have, Ronaldo still has the years left in him but Real Madrid have not taken care of his physical condition. I was excited when Milan was gonna sign him coz Milan Lab is the most advanced technology and player conditioning facility in the world, and is why Maldini is playing at 38 and Costacurta at 41. Ronaldo knew this and this is why he was so upset when Real Madrid didn't accept the Milan offer.
