Lets all laugh at Greece !

Post by Ga Pala »

For their shocking World cup record and pathetic jealousy of Italy's success. Instead of accepting where you are in the pecking order of world football and trying to improve.

Ignoring all biasness (if that is a word), the future of Greek football is looking bright, my personal opinion is that it is looking better then that of the Italians.

I don't see whats so funny, the talent pool in Greece for young footballers is at its all time high players like Kyriakos Papadopoulos, Sotiris Ninis, Socratis Papastathopoulos, Vassilis Pliatsikas, Kostas Mitroglou and Panagiotis Tachtsidis all showing promise.

Maybe this is a little far fetched, Italy does have some very good young players coming through and some that are already consolidated in the squad but SERIOUSLY...i'm just laughing at the guy who made this post...bitter much?

never heard of any of them...
out of the lesser European nations, Belgium seems to have the brightest future...
Kompany, Vermaelen, Vanden Borre, Vertonghen, Defour, Fellaini, Witzel, Hazard, Dembele and Lukaku are all under 25 and show promise

Never heard any of them??? Strange, because 3 of them were part of the World Cup squad that was part of the 2010 WC. Wonder where Belgium was with all of its under 25 stars, did they even play in the qualifiers???

Past events??? WC 2010 South Africa is still going if you hadnt noticed, its you who needs to think about it sully

Whether they bore you or not is irrelevant, what is relevant however, is that you made a comment that you had not seen the Greek players mentioned when 3 of them were part of a squad that was part of the current World Cup still being played in South Africa, but yet you mentioned players of a country who didnt qualify for the last World Cup or the last EURO and so my point is you are selective when it comes to trying to argue your point :D

it is a past event for greece, these players are not still playing in it, therefore it's in the past.

As for knowledge of players, i've never heard of those greek players either, however i've heard Emanuelle Adebayor and he wasn't in the world cup.

How convenient  Papastathopoulos, Ninis and Papadopoulos all played in South Africa and im sure 2 of them have even played Champions League games with their respective club(s)??? Whose Emanuelle Adebayor and which country does he play for and is he part of a group of players for that country that are young with a bright future in your opinion??? Also, the World Cup in South Africa becomes a past even once the final whistle of the final is blown and the winning captain holds up the trophy

past is exactly that, THE PAST! Are those players currently playing in the world cup? aside from spain and holland the world cup IS IN THE PAST!

When did I say the world cup was in the past?

As I said, aside from holland and spain the world cup is in the past. As you can read in the post, it says it's over for those countries, not that it's over.

So we've established that greece are not playing in the present. In the future, will they be participating in the 2010 FIFA world cup?

Actually its not what you said, maybe what you meant Hawkesy, but certainly not what you said. See how trying to get people on technicalities isnt anything more than time wasting and getting away from the truth of the matter  lucky for you im a nice guy and not one that keeps harping on those technicalities :D

There is only 1 game left of that World Cup and Greece is not part of it but i thank you very much for keeping me awake so i can watch it without yet having a coffee. I like debating with you Hawkesy although youve lost your touch of late and have been found out on more than a few occassions, lift your game sonny jim, your letting the team down 8)
