Miroslav Klose (and Michael Ballack)

Post by guti »

Unluckiest guys in World Football? Been to the semi-final stage (as a minimum) at every World Cup they have been to but never won the tournament.

2002 World Cup: 2nd
2006 World Cup: 3rd
2010 World Cup: 3rd or 4th

Schweinsteiger had a a look on his face this morning as if he was thinking "not again".

Or the luckiest guys - depending on which way you look at it. The German teams for the last 10 years have been bagged as "not good enough, but they'll still do alright in tournaments" - so maybe they're overachieving, rather than under...

I think if Germany had Ballack this morning, they would have beaten Spain.

They always lose to the team that wins the tournament.

I guess so.

It's really only been the last two world cups and the last euro, but it seems to be becoming a trend.

The Dutch having Volatile players should make this interesting, i think Spain will be too good with the Dutch missing some defenders through suspension.

More fortunate that he, Podolski and trochowski decided not to play for Poland.

Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".
