Modbury v Florina

Post by mail man »

Was told they played last Wednesday with Modbury winning only 3-2. I would of thought a Premier League team would of won by at least 5 goals. Are Florina that good?
Who the hell was Karl Malone???

What was the point of this game if none of the 1st team florina players played??? Surely an amateur league ressies side should get smacked by any fed team or div1/2 first team of amatuers??

From our 1st team only Azza and Lucky played full games, Manca played just over a half, the rest were B/C players. The 5 players from our squad that missed the Mayors cup final weren't going to play and we had another 5 pull out for various reasons on the wednesday. We could of just cancelled the game but we thought we would do the right thing by Modbury and play. Maybe we should of cancelled, Modbury would be $1000 better off :?

A B/C Select played the Modbury U/19's and lost 4-0.

The 19's at Modbury are coached by a former coach at Florina so the game was played in great spirits and despite their yoing legs, amazing fitness and silkier skills, the B/C select (which in the second half was a c team and the B players had to play for the first team) held their own for long periods.

Hopefully Modbury have a great season and it was a pleasure to play on their pitch!

What i meant was, if most of the florinafirst team would have played it would have been a lot more benficial to Modbury.
With just Azza and lucky playing it would have been a lot different than with all the rest of the 1st team squad.
