Birkalla look good - had most of the possession, especially in the second half against Comets, but couldn't find the net. Comets scored from a penalty.

Neither Metros or West Adelaide look like threatening much after a dour 0-0 draw.

Blue Eagles vs Para Hills and Para vs Adelaide City will both be big games in Group 1.

Obviously a coaching masterstroke to bring on your regular GK with 10 mins. to go and almost immediately make the penalty save that gets them through to the QF :)

This has been yet another FFSA farce.
If a competition is to be held, it requires real referees, and full compensation.

Mr CARTER
Injured referees, as a result of doing 10 games in 2 days - you are fully responsible.

Anyone else associated with this abuse of our youth should be castigated.

You petty fucking bastards - save some dollars and screw the youth you are supposedly trying to assist - bullshit - tournament after tournament FFSA abuse this.

We were advised that the Referee Development Squad will be refereeing the matches.

This means that the referees were not paid. I heard that the ffsa provided equipment and clothing for their time for being there, and from speaking to one referee he was estactic about what the Nike clothing he received.

Ask me this question Muts, do State Development players get paid for their development? No!

So why should these referees be paid when they are being inspected as part of their development, same as the players, they are being identified as part of their development.

Times are changing for the better and referees are being look after better and provided with better mentoring. I noticed on the email that the mentors were Cream, Parry, Dade, Tattelsall, Toth and Gregan. What a highly experienced bunch to help develop and mentor these referees. Maybe they should have included this other bloke i think he is an inspector, i think his name is D.Mullins.

I guess muts you are just after the money and dont care about development!

P.S. - Congratulations FFSA for putting on an event like this to give the players, referees and coaches a fantastic pathway for the sport and an opportunity to showcase in front of the state, then country (if qualify) and world (if qualify)
