Why waste time? The referee will add time on to the MINIMUM that is added at their own discretion. Players need to understand this as wel as coaches who make subs in injury time. It hurt GC tonight.

It can backfire too. When a team that is leading 1-0 and does all the gamesmanship to waste time referees keep a record of it, but if two late goals go in and that team now finds itself 1-2 down the referee may decided well f*** that and then disregard that time altogether.

example: Liverpool vs Boro last EPL season. was 1-1 and Boro wanted the draw at Anfield. A Boro player goes down to waste time, ref adds time. Gerrard scores a winner. sucked in Boro

With the way technology has progressed over the years, I think the referee should be equipped with a remote control to trigger an electric shock to any player who wastes time.

I'd gladly referee for no match fee if this was the case!
However...my chances of abusing it...
*Buzz* What's that? Not coming to complain anymore?
Oh it would be fun.
