Place your bets....promotion from Div 2

Post by Happy Kopite »

OK, there's been alot of talk over the last few weeks, especially in the last few days thanks to the Chokers topic (love all your work fellas!), so lets just put our cards on the table and pick the two teams whho will get promoted from Div 2. There's still 5 teams that can do it, so choose from the following:

Para Hills East
Ingle Farm
West Beach
Modbury Vista
Fulham

We can all look back in about 11 days time and say, "I told you so, how fecking good am I".

And while we're at it, lets pick the two to go down:

Bosna
Pumas
Macos
Limnos

I only hope your predictions are true Observer.

You have tipped PHE to lose last two games. I know they aren't travelling too well but that is a big call.

I think PHE are in the best position, even if they lose to WB this weekend.

They have southern Knights at home for their last game and should win that, which will put them on 35 points.

Ingle Farm will win this weekend and will be on 35 points with a tough game at modbury last game, but a draw should guarantee them promotion, whereas modbury have to win both games.

Modbury should beat Bosna this weekend but as they have a tough game against farm next week, I don't think they can get the 6 points they need and will finish on 32 or 33 points.

West Beach have to win this weekend. This will give them 33 points going into a tough away game at fulham. If it's a draw this weekend, I think it will give other teams a chance but not the beach. So, in order to keep everything tight going into the last week, west beach have to win.

Fulham are a very slim chance. I think they will beat limnos convincingly and will be on 30 points going into the last game but it all depends on what west beach do.

So, all comes down to the PHE v WB game. A win for PHE and Ingle farm and there are your promoted teams. A win for the beach and it's too tough to call but I think Ingle Farm will definately be one of the teams to go up.

Maco's and Bosna to go down

Puma's are too good for div three, been very unlucky in many close games.

West Beach have a very good team, they look like they are holding the aces with PHE this week, hard for anyone to get a result down there, particularily with PHE down to one-night-a-week training.

Farm in a good position still, Vista need a result this week, Fulham highly unlikely.

Predict Farm and East.

Macedonia wont get relegated, they will find a way to stay up. Bosna and Pumas to go down, tough on Pumas, Div 2 very hard league this year, havent written them off yet tho, will go down to last round when they meet in a relegation showdown.

Predict Bosna and Pumas

East will not get promoted. Looked very weak in defence and had little attacking options

Farm are a strong team with a good structure and capable forwards

Farm and fullam to go through

Maco's and Bosna to go down

If Pumas goalkeeper got sent off for punching might hurt them, depends on how reserve goalkeeper is (by the look of the league he gets plenty of practice!) and how many weeks he gets!

Dont know how u can say that buddy. 50 goals and 29 against aint a bad record i wouldn't think???  Little attacking options is what........ we have 3 people in the top 8 of the leading goal scorers in the league, including the top goal scorer. You have got absolutly no idea what your on about.
I will not disagree in saying farm are a good unit, but i just dont think u blokes give the east much credit at all. We r still top remember, we have lost some games to lower team yes, but hasn't everyone this year??? Some comments on here are completly unjustified!!!

Well here we are with 1 round to go.

interesting round it is as well.

If easts lose and fulham beat beach then Fulham could go up depending on how nuch they win by because goal difference will come into play.

If ingle farm lose and easts and beach win then easts will be promoted and again depending on how many they win by beach could be promoted ahead of the farmers on goal difference.

however I think farmers and east will be promoted come 4:45pm sunday afternoon.

Good luck to Fulham, may results go your way.

Relegation is almost as interesting

Bosna need to beat Pumas by 4 very unlikely given the fact that Bosna don't score many and then have Maco's lose to Limnos

If Macos draw and Pumas lose by 3 or more then Pumas and Bosna go down

If Macos win and Pumas draw or lose then Pumas and Bosna go down

It's a shame we didn't take our chances as if Pumas had been beaten by 2 or 3 then Bosna could easily have survived looks doubtful now

Hell who nows what is going to happen but here's my fairytail.

Even if the Farm lost, which would only be by a goal or so on Vista's small pitch, goal difference is on the Farm's side to get them promoted. There's all this talk about Vista being fired up for the Farm, but who ain't pumped to play on a Sunday, what makes them different to any other team. If your not fired up to play any game then why bother. I guess the Farm have more to play for and may get the result. The Farm getting promoted will be enough to rub in Vista face regardless of the result. I don't beleive we can catch them so who cares.

The out of form East will need to get a point or points to go up. They will probably sneak through with a 1-1 draw or 2-1 win but I hope they loose 1-0.

This will mean my belovered Westies will need to beat Fulham. I beleive this game will be very close. We are confident against an inform Fulham. Westies 2-1 and promotion, I hope  .

East loose, West Boys win and promotiton to Div 1.

End of Fairytail back to reality, more than likey Farm and East to go up  .

Whats silly is, that day he got booted in the head and had a black eye which he couldnt see out of for a week and he retaliated ( with a push mind you, no punches were thrown) and got a 3 week suspension, the guy that kicked him in the head stayed on the pitch and kept playing.

I hope either FULHAM or BEACH get promoted in that second spot. We've already lost our closest DIV 1 team, we dont wont to travel down North every second week.
