16s Adelaide City 1 - Cumberland 0
wonder goal by city player - 30 yard free kick.

14s dominated by city but never looked like scoring.

U17's

ABE 0 - 1 Para Hills

As a mutual spectator I think Blue Eagles deserved to win, they just didn't create good chances for themselves. Para Hills goal was a bit scrappy, but a goals a goal and it won them the cup.

Goal scorer was Number 4, not sure of his name.

must of sat next to me !
1. :D
2. : :( sad but true, not many shots that amounted to anything
3. :D :D

Weather made it tricky to start but overall the sides were evenly matched and a single goal was all it took, Para unlucky with a header from corner in final minutes that just went wide from the No.3.

Well done to Dimitri and the ffsa, a very well run day. I thought their were more peole there then on Saturday.

Pity my nephews team didn't win but the lads enjoyed the day, and playing on hindmarsh and using AU changeroom was a big thrill for their team.

Mutual spectator doesn't mean neutral spectator, but more than likely he knows people in both camps, no?

Wind assisted or not, it was a strike worthy of winning a cup final. Congrats lad.

Drago's team to win 4-1. A superstar team that plays beautiful football. They will put on a footballing lesson! Ben W to score at least two.

Ben didn't score two but I was right! :D I must know the coach

From an untrained eye

Saw U13s throught to U16s

Was impressed with the skill level in the U13s - pretty good game to watch

Both the U14 and U16 had their moments but at the end of the day both were pretty ho hum

U15s between Modbury and Para Hills was the standout game - Both teams could have given either of the U16 finalists a run for their money.

Overall Para Hills played the better and more attractive football and as my expert adviser informs me are close to 'the perfect team' - not that Modbury would agree

But nerves or whatever it let Para down at critical moments yesterday. First half was pretty even, but Modbury took their chances well and went in at half time leading 2-1.

Second half saw a lot more pressure from Para Hills but when in their attacking third they
seemed to hang on to the ball too long and/or gave it away too easily.

The wind was a bit of a problem in the second half for Modbury - couple of times they had Para beaten on the break only to see the ball speed up and race away from them.

Solid performance by Modbury and ultimately a deserved win.
Time for some righteous indignation

Thanks for the U15s report. From the regular season PH play the nicest soccer but seem to have a problem beating Modbury despite being the better team (certainly best midfield in the U15 comp IMO)

PS. Not with either team so impartial observer
