Bravo Polska.
Remember this name - Robert Lewandowski (no relation to the Cumberland version).
Still at Lech Poznan, but will be off to a bigger club, hopefully napoli soon.

Yes Bravo Polska, good winBomber wrote:2-0 Polska.
But why ruin it with the following???
Dont know about you, but most people are quiet when their teams lose, stating the obvious i would of thought. Would you have posted it if you had lost???If Hellas won, I reckon this thread would be on page 3 by now
A friendly game at the end of the day which we lost. I guess you always learn more from a loss than a win so maybe it was a loss we needed. Me thinks Septembers qualifiers have far more importance. Anyways, enjoy your win, was a deserved home win and good luck in your qualifying campaign

Col, you should know me well enough by now. Havent had much to gloat about in international football, so couldnt possibly pass this opportunity!COLOSSUS wrote:Yes Bravo Polska, good winBomber wrote:2-0 Polska.

The Greek lads at Croydon training last night were convinced it was only 1-0! Anyway, as you said, only a friendly.
Was amazed at Albania's 6-1 thumping of Cyprus though!

Maybe the Greek Croydon lads dismissed the 1st goal since it was a wicked deflectionBomber wrote:

As for being shocked by Albanias win over Cyprus, im not really too shocked about the fact that Cyprus lost but probably the score line. Having said that, we dont know the factors (ie what teams were put out there etc) and whilst Cyprus are a better ranked nation than Albania, that doesnt mean to much when both are pretty average teams and its safe to say that neither will qualify for next years World Cup
But i do know where you are coming from in regards to not having too much to gloat about in International Football. Weve suffered more than you people have and bar 1 miracle that was 2004, im thinking we will continue to suffer although that 2004 memory easily erases any bad ones and God know there is plenty of them in Greek Football

Re: Polonia v Hellas
greece treated a friendly as a friendly as always . and got fucked over by another race of people that may take them more serious than a WC final because the biggest team they could ever play was greece and they beat em in a friendly. enjoy that you basically just one EURO 2004 poland

And Poland did???????
couldn't even beat Northern Ireland at home.
Worry about your own backyard.
At least Greece has won something in my life time, will Poland win anything in yours?

Re: Polonia v Hellas
Do I sense some some poor sportsmanship? Lets face it, you gloat when you win (any game) and sook when you lose. We've had a third place finish (twice, at WORLD CUPS). I applaud your 2004 Euro championships win. It was against all odds. Just let me know where you want the tissues sent.Panathinaikos wrote:And Poland did???????

Hmmm, what was the smart ass comment you refer to particularly? At least Colossus has a sense of humour about it and has shrugged it off. You, however, are still crying about it.Panathinaikos wrote:Poor sportsmanship??? you must be kidding, your the smart ass with all your stupid smart remarks about our NT...
