on one hand, a draw against the improving fulham is good. on the other, providing city win, does their title chase hopes no good.

I thought that today Fulham would have won.
I am not trying to take anything away from Metro, but Fulham obviously have something to show and Metro played on Thursday while Fulham rested...How was the game anyway?

How did City go with Olympic? That was another thriller game IMO. Olympic being a strong team and all, and City having had a hard game in mid week?

And what about the other results? Para Hills? Campbelltown?

good game today olympic v toros div 3. As said in another subject no ref. Game played in the right way which is a credit to both teams. Keeps the pressure on the top teams with this win for toros. Well done to both teams.

unbelieveable performance by fulham today. unlucky not to take all the points. for a totally new team to come together and gel like we have is fantasic. we dont have a great list on paper but by hell do we have heart and team spirit

Nothing is a sure win. It's better to have points on the board than games in hand.

I totally agree.
There are no sure wins and the league is way open. If Metro win their catch up with Cumby (which they will) they are only 3 points from City.

for the last 5 yrs fulham ALWAYS had a cup game on the friday and a hard game on the sunday.. so at least u guys played a day earlier!!

i actually disagree. We had a toughish, extended training session on friday. not the same as a game but still. its all in the head and the team spirit which was pretty obvious

No way. It is definitely a HUGE advantage to play vs somebody who has had a hard game just a couple of days before. Not saying that the FFSA deliberately favoured Fulham by not having the Fulham-C'town game played anyway, but definitely Metro must have felt the fatigue...

It's a complete joke that cup games can be postponed when they are supposed to go on in a particular week. The clubs have 6 days to play, this is another example of how inadequate is the management of the game. SAD GAL would be happy!

Fulham is a strong team, I don't agree that they don't have a strong lineup on papers. It's as strong as anyone else. They were underachieving because they missed many players, but now it's different. I think Fulham is one of the strongest teams around, and there are top players there. It will be hard for everyone to beat them, I wouldn't be surprised if they win every single game from now on.

we have three players from last year. mj is only playing 30 mins or so and quigs has just come back. we are a completely new team and i dont think anyone should expect anything of us this season. we are still learning to play together

add to that we have a cup game to play on tuesday. no matter what the result we will not blame it on sundays game. we're not like that

the joys of a public forum - not everyone is suppose to agree...

it wasnt ffsa who FAVOURED fulham - it was CAMBLETOWN who were unavailable to play....... Fulham get to the top by themselves NO help from ANYONE thanks!!

City must be miles ahead of the rest of the competition if they were able to run out the whole 90mins and score 2 in the last few minutes to beat a team thats 3rd after playing a game on thursday. Metro are 2nd and cant score against a team thats 6th...ouch

IMO things should be kept in perspective.

1. Fulham now playing more consistently will have a bearing in the leagues end result. Good for the competition. Other teams will also have a bearing on this.
2. In past years as has been alluded to Fulham played catch up games, cup games and a normal game in the space of 9 or 10 days. This is not an issue either. No mention of perceived favoritism or otherwise there.
3. Fulham have had to put aside the injury factor which has plagued the club and rebuild, and this has been a credit to the coach and players at the club. Well done.
4. Even counting the numerous League and Cup successes, 2009 could be looked at as Fulham defining season after the next few years pass.
5. The rest of this season will be far more interesting than what has occured thus far. Great for the game.
