Sturt 4 Uni 2

Missed the first 10 mins but sturt were 1 nil up when i got there...Sturt dominated most of the game till around 20 to go when they had a man sent off.By then tho it was over with sturt leading 4-1..Uni got a late one and to be fair could have have had another 1 or 2 late...Good to see sturt bounce back as the last few weeks had been ordinary to say the least.

The league put on some food and drink for the supporters and people from other clubs attending and also gave a trophy to both sides and a man of the match award that was won by Terry Hayes..They did it well and should be applauded for that...Good night had by all..

Adelaide University (3) 1 - 4 ACU Falcons (Reserves 1-1)

Falcons reserves unlucky not to get the win with several shots cleared on the line in the last few minutes...

Seniors won comprehensively looking good into the future.

Div 4 results -

A Grade - Simba of Congo 1 - Murray Bridge 2

B Grade - Simba of Congo 2 - Murray Bridge 1

I Didn't see the A grade so cant say much other than its a great away result for the boys which keeps us right in the mix at the top..

The ref in the B grade was the WORST I have seen in the 3 years I have been playing in this country. I said a few uncomplimentary things about our own club ref recently but I think he really isnt so bad after all!! This guy gave EVERY decision to the home club including some ludicrous free kicks which just happened to be on the edge of our box. At one point I considered taking our team off the pitch out of protest things got that bad. Very poor and I can honestly say we did not deserve to lose..He is either the worse ref in the world or the biggest cheat in the world.. I hope it's not the latter..

Div II

A: Vipers FC 5 FC Adelaide 2
B: Vipers FC 1 FC Adelaide 2
C: Vipers FC 2 FC Adelaide 4

Scorers (A): Kali (2), Jaric, Massis, Geladaris

Great day for the Vipers, all this hard work has paid off and we're finally top. A sensational performance against FC Adelaide, who were not in bad form either. We were up 4-1 at half time after trailing 0-1 and were in cruise control in the 2nd half, and it really says a lot about our work ethic and commitment to the club and our teammates. We could have had a lot more but the crossbar and post denied us on more than 3 occasions from memory. A truly great team performance today. The ref didn't make things easy (old greek bloke, apparently has been refeering since the 70's), but hey that's life.

B's were unlucky, had chances at the end to tie it up, but luck was not on their side for once.

Go the Vipers!!!

As. Africa 0 Modbury 2 HT (0-1)
Bad day at the office for us today. The midfield just wasn't there to play. Modbury came out strong, physical and scored two very good goals. The first goal was a nice shot from outside the box after a bit of kick and miss from our players. Very nice taken goal though to the top corner at the far post (no chance for a save). Modbury dominated the midfield in first half completely, which put a lot of pressure on our defense.
Second half was better from Africa but still not quite there. Second goal from Modbury came after a cross from the right which put the striker in a one on one situation. It was a more even half with some really good chances at the end for us, but we didn't take them plus Modbury keeper made an outstanding save as well.
Bs. Africa 2 Modbury 1 HT (1-1)
First win of the season for the Bs :D :D :D :D :D
Our first goal was a penalty after 2 defenders both kicked the same player in the same time. Should have been a double penalty l
Modbury scored in the first half after our keeper misjudged bounce of the ball. Ball went past him and the striker tapped it in .
Second goal by Africa reserves was midway through the second half. A cross from the left side went over all the players to the other side of the box, then a Modbury defender didn't clear the ball and let it bounce on the edge of the 18 yards box, with keeper coming out the striker just placed the ball on the ground to the far post. We also missed two other great chances, but in the end happy with the win.

I dont recall any bookings.. he had shoes on but blew his whistle at length over and over.. it was like a bloody carnival! The home linesman stood on the halfway line throughout the game and not once kept up with play.. Disgraceful

I thought your ref was poor last week, but he's not even close to Simba's. We actually considered doing the same. Biggest cheat in the league!!

SAT Div 3
A's COUGARS 5 FLINDERS (2) 2 Lalli 3, Gonzo 2
B's COUGARS 3 FLINDERS (2) 3

UGLY UGLY game
Great result but not the style in which we wanted to play...........
A few changes to the team had us start a bit shaky.. and it showed at half time being only 1up.....
Had the wind second half and with 2 quick goals within 5mins settled the result.....
Gonzo with 2 late goals as a super sub.....

B's...............WOW
The worst performance this year...........BY FAR
Only positive - Larry scoring 2 in comeback game.....
