Sunday Div 3, Round 12 (and beyond)...
Round 12 26/07/2009
MSSC Blue Eagles vs Beograd
Asteras v Bosna
Payn Postel v Athelstone
Macedonia Utd v South Coast Utd
Brahma Lodge v Croatia
Very tough next few games for the Asteras, Macedonia and Blue Eagles and I don't think many results will go their way.
Brahma also have a tough run with 4 away games but should get over the line.
I think I saw someone mention that playing Brahma away is probably the toughest challenge at the moment... well, Beograd is the only team to have won EVERY game at home, and with 4 home games and 2 games against the bottom two teams in the home run, pencil in 6 wins.
Playing Croatia away being the danger game for us but we should win with a 2 player advantage (I predict 2 red cards for Cro's 20 mins in).

I watched the last 15 minutes of the first half on the weekend - didn't think it was an overly rough match, if anything Asteras gave as good as they got. Players jumping up and down, screaming and rushing at each other when a foul is committed doesn't make it a rough or dirty match.
Re: Sunday Div 3, Round 12 (and beyond)...
I predict Bosna to choke and narrowly miss out on promotion. I reckon the two top spots will go to Beograd and Brahma (not necessarily in that order.)
In the reserves I think it will also come down to the same two teams, I can't see either dropping many points from here.
My predictions for this week are as follows
MSSC Blue Eagles vs Beograd
Asteras v Bosna
Payn Postel v Athelstone
Macedonia Utd v South Coast Utd
Brahma Lodge v Croatia

I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

7 straight wins for Beograd to finish the season, now that is optimism.

Check the previous year's results. Last year we finished the season with around 9 wins from 11 games. The year before that we won 10 or 11 straight to finish the season. We've got what it takes... just need to be consistent.
Am I being biased?? Don't think so... I also think Bosna and Brahma are good enough to win 6 out of 7 to finish the season.

MSSC Blue Eagles vs Beograd
Asteras v Bosna
Payn Postel v Athelstone
Macedonia Utd v South Coast Utd
Brahma Lodge v Croatia
I think Bosna is slowing down, Brahma Lodge has a tendency to drop their form in the second half of the season as it has been evident in the previous seasons as far as i know. Another interesting thing i have noticed is the results of Blue Eagles and Asteras. Before the season started a lot of people belived Asteras will be a contender for promotion but after 3-4 rounds everyone wrote them off and know they are being some what of a suprise. On the other hand Blue Eagles, they have been outplayed by Beograd, Bosna and so on and looked as if they are a class below and now they are in the top 4. I would have to say that the batlle for the first two spots will be between Bosna, Beograd, Asteras and Macedonia. When it comes to the bottom of the table athlestone will not go down without a fight and paynheam will steal some more points and make the finish even more interesting.
That much from me

Going by your assesments of teams in prevoius years you are saying that Brahma Lodge are on the slide down, is this correct? You are also saying that Beograd, going by 500BDM tips by results will push for top spot, overtaking the rest. Sth Coast are finished also?? With all the side still to play the majority of reverse fixtures, I think it makes for a great end to the season....

Still a long way to go. I am very much looking forward to this week's game against Beograd - they absolutely smashed us last time, but we should have a couple of players back that missed the first game, so hopefully we can pull something out against them.

Yes that is my opinion based on some previous results/statistics and inside knowledge of certain teams/players and their characters. Which ever way it goes it will be one of the most interesting divisions this year as no one is assured even a 1st sport and not to mention the 2nd spot, obviously everyone can beat everyone. South Coast play very organised football but they are quite slow overall as a team( except that you winger- good fair play player), it depends for them who rocks up on the day but a lot of older guys in the team, at least it looks that way from the side lines and on the pitch.

Re: Sunday Div 3, Round 12 (and beyond)...
I would aLSO like to add that Beograd has a problem with strikers, they need somone to finish of their impresive passing game and they don't have such a player, Beograd can also be exposed when playing against ruff teams such as Brahma Lodge, but obviously last game quality was superior to "hard play". They do not have a target man at all, no one to hold up the ball upfront if their standard style of play is not working. I encourage people to write more about different teams and their view on the way they play. Croatia is very very solid at the back but offensivly very poor, Macedonia has a shocking defence, full backs are quite good but the problem is with the centrebacks, very very poor communication and some of the centre backs that have played(they had a few) are absolutly shocking , B's s team quality at most. Their captain is not the fittest but he "knows" the game, a lot starts from him. Bosna are a very very young side, fitness is one of their main assets with a touch of experience. Few guys can strike the ball quite well and they have a very quick short winger who can run all day long. The key to beat Bosna is to take the lead first, that's when they start arguing and they are most vulnerable. Obviously first you need to score against them, preferebaly lead by two goals but once again that's not that easy against them. They have come back in a few games, they came back from 1-0 down at half time against Macedonia to win 3-1 in the end.
This is just the way i see it and i think there is people outhere who would agree. Instead o writing a few sentences and arguing it would be good to read different views/assesments of teams.

Agree that we (Beograd) lacked something up front for a large part of the season, but the introduction of a couple of new players in the last 2 games has made a HUGE difference to that. The new look defence is also working well... Brahma found it hard to even get a shot on goal in. The game plan has changed slightly and has produced 4 goals 'for' and 0 goals 'against' in the last 2 games where we went in as underdogs. Things are looking promising...

our stopper has 5 goals but never plays when port plays home because he is mark williams security
our flanker went to serbia for holiday who has 6 and midfielder who has 6 also gone to serbia.
our two reserves strikers were promoted v para and both scored and thus remain in the side.
if we can finish with 11 on park we will be okay but still like brahma even though technically they are very average. but their intensity will win them games.
croatia will win a few more but their number 1 man is out. asteras will be up there bosna is about to crumble to the point where the title is in sight of other teams just. macedonija will plateu, blue eagles will be around the mark. as i predicted at beginning of year beograd for 2nd and reserves 1st. only coz i play and have money on it with about ten people.

We too have a huge problem with strikers... we have scored plenty of goals this season, but 90% have come from our midfield. we have no problems getting to the goal against any team, but we lack a player that can finish.
and yes our team is very young, and hasnt played for very long as a unit. so if it stays this way we should be able to improve a great deal over time.
P.S. Im glad we have finally started talking about football and not politics
