I played the C's game beforehand. I was asked to play B's but work commitments meant I had to piss off afterwards, although I would rather have been at the game.

Div 9 C2

Beograd 6 Munno Para 2

Both sides missed their fair share of easy goals. Score at half time was 1-2. Then we ran out of legs & they ran out easy winners.

BOG goes to Beograds Club Ref.

Off to Murray Bridge next week!

USC v Inter

A's 1-4 - could of been more but a couple of real wasted chances and at least a handful of terrible offsides. on the other hand USC missed out on a clear penalty at 1-1
B's 0-4
C's 4-1

Vikings 2 Gully 0

Pretty even in the first half & if Gully had taken thier chances could have been a different game, but to be fair Vikings were better overall on the day. Harder, stronger , faster, many more chances in the second half, it's a shame the goals they did score were from our errorrs.Better luck next week lads, GO U GULLY!!!!

Downs A,s 3 - Flora Margarines 0. A cracking game by the lads with Tommy and Sammy on the score board. The defence was solid all day and Benny in goals had a blinder yet again saving a cracker through the wall to add to his already impressive resume. The Margarines were not without their chances with Trev Elliot missing a sitter and promising to run up to us when he did score. Never did get to see you do that Trev unlucky.
Downs B,s 0 - Margarines 4. The game was going along nicely until the Margarines club ref decided to blatantly cheat and award the worst penalty decision seen by legga in 20 years. I am not one to bag refs oh ok I am one to bag refs but this guy was an absolute joke. None of the Margarine players knew what it is for and the only one to celebrate was an ex Downs player with a bobby brady haircut. This guy is an embarassment to the Florina footy club and should hang his head in shame. An other wise good game until this fool stepped up to the plate. Other teams beware I am dead set sure he will F**k up your games a s well.
Downs C,s 2 -Margarines 4. Did not get to see this game..
P.S - to all the Downs ex players that play at Meadowlea Park bash that up your gary,s...

The goals we scored were from your mistakes??? Were you taking a bathroom break whilst we scored both our goals?? First goal we had possesion for at least 7-8 passes on the edge of the area before passing wide then a quality ball to the back post for a header as a midfielder worked into a quality position to finish.....name the mistake there you made??.
Second goal was a shot on the turn from the edge of the 18yd box which your keeper at full stretch could only parry our midfielder followed up with conviction and put it away...name the mistake there?.

Was a quality game today, hope the TTG lad that rolled his ankle is ok.

ended up 2-2 between para and east. east awarded a penalty which was outside the box for the equaliser. very much a game of two halves and they came home stronger in the end. well done to the ref who decided to send off our sweeper after he voiced his opinion on the penalty

well done to the sweeper, smart move calling the ref.... only lets your team mates down. Then have to play the remainder of the game with 10 men. Frustrated or not, you only hurt your own team!!! Plus the fact you get to have a week on the sidelines for lacking discipline, very clever.

Got spanked today.
No excuses.
In it until the red card but have nobody to blame.

All bragging rights to the Woodville boys. Ouch.
Bosna and Beograd are 2 of the better teams this year.

Thanks for the beer and saying hello 6MDM.

Never one to disagree with an opposition supporters opinions... but actually the penalty was awarded for a push in the back of one ex Downs player, which mind you I saw from right at the other end of the pitch... Couldn't expect the supporters to see that from where they were though it was a whole 30 foot away... On saying this I am not saying that the ref did not make mistakes, like not awarding the penalty 2 mins before when the downs keeper commited a clear foul on one of our strikers, not even getting close to the ball.

Whether or not the ref made a mistake in awarding the penalty, there were three other goals scored by the FLORINA B's, so at the end of the day the down's b's were convincingly beaten.

All in all I think the spirit of the game was good, and the downs b's show a lot of talent.

Knights v Vista

Firstly thank you for the beers and food, nice touch we can't hang around as we have a bar that sponsors us - drink driving etc

In the A's we won 2-1 felt a draw may have been fair, but there have been quite a few games this year where we should have got more but didn't so that's Football - very funny moment when a Vista player who had been given the Knights player he was marking grief all game ran over and gave the crowd a serve for doing the same to him! Won't go on,but toughen up Princess!

In the B's good tight contest until about the 40th minute - then the referee took control, everyone whinges about handballs, offsides, free kicks etc,but when a player headbutts another in full view he must go, and no, he didn't - referee then lost all credibility and dominated the second half, shame as up till then was a good close game

B's Viking's 5v2 Gully

Scoreline a little flattering as we went 3-4-3 at 3-2 to try and get somthing out of the game, but vikings deserved their win.
Dissapointing for us as a win would of put us 4 points off the top, but still a long way to go.

Got told PHW beat vale about 4-0 - so I assumed that was the score for the table sake.

Couple of results missing from Div 2 and Div 1 reserves, but here are theleague tables as they stand..

with benny aldridge playing so well and matt peace getting sent off and missing 3 games minimum after today, i think this could be the difference on who will go on to finish higher in the league this year!

Agreed thought a draw would of been a fair result today but hey thats the beauty of the game anything can happen. 2 mistakes cost us 2 goals today. Lacked the killer blow today but well done Knights and the return leg could shape up to be a screamer!

B's game I think Vista were the better team throughout the contest but struggled at times. With the headbut situation, felt both players should have been shown red. Much closer scoreline than in the past few meetings between the teams!
