Bye Bye Ronaldo, Hello 80 Million Pounds

Post by Le King »

The worst kept secret is out, Cristiano Ronaldo has finally gotten his wish and is off too sunny spain to play for real madrid.... and with it comes a hefty fee of 80million pounds!
1st of all i wanna say thanks Cristiano for the great memories you have given me and fellow United supporters throughout the years, and thanks for the trophies you have helped United win throughout the years you've been here.... u came as a ugly pimpled boy with lots of potential, and we turned u into a football superstar with good looks(2nd only 2 beckham) and plenty of talent
honestly my 1st reaction to when i 1st read the news on soccernet was "fuk 80mil, thats great business"..... ok u mite not believe it, but u gotta look at the big picture. we sold a player for 80 million, thats possibly 2-3 "world class players". i dunno where madrid get all this cash but thanks for it.
The United team is gonna benefit from this in a big way... ok ronaldo was all class, but his heart was never in it, he was frustrating to watch, but a joy to watch at the same time, and having a player not wanting to play for the shirt anymore isnt worth keeping imo. with his talent i believe fergie built a team around him, and this meant someone like rooney had to sacrafice his natural position and play out wide to make the most out of Cristianos talents.... Next season u will see the real Wayne Rooney, the Wayne Rooney who has been scoring goals for England left right and centre because he is playing in his natural position, and thats behind a striker. I have said over the past 2 seasons that Rooney sacrafices sooo much for the team, jst 2 make ronaldo look gd(eg 2009 cl final)
with this money im sure you will see United linked with the likes of Ribery, Palacios and ,God help me if we do get him, Benzema!! Fergie is smart, he wouldnt be stupid to reject an offer of that crazy amount, he has players in mind to make this team even stronger..... Hughes. Cantona, Beckham, Ronaldo.... they all got replaced!
It would be interesting to see how the madrid team goes next season, i mean wow kaka ronaldo van dar vaart, sneidjer, robben, RVN, raul..... where will they all play??
Finally im glad to say i got to see Cristiano Ronaldo play in the red of Manchester United in real life at Old Trafford....
Viva Ronaldo, we'll keep the Red flag glying high, cause Man United never die!!!

thanks for the 80million, now hes your problem ;)

Lets hope we use the 80 mil wisely, i.e Ribery, Benzema. Thats another thing that fucks me off, the lure that Real Madrid has. How do they stay the most prestigous club when they have been so shit for so long?

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo turned down Paris Hilton after she made a play for him at a Hollywood nightclub, MailOnline has learned.
The Manchester United striker - currently in LA on an undisclosed business trip - arrived at trendy hotspot Villa in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A source said: 'Paris was all over him. The moment he arrived, she went over to his private table.

'At one point, she pushed her chest together and made a point of trying to snuggle up against him.
'But Ronaldo clearly wasn't interested in Paris. He turned his back on her.'
According to reports, the 23-year-old Portugese star is a single man after splitting from model Nereida Gallardo, 25.
And heiress Paris, clad in a peach-coloured dress, was clearly impressed by his charms.

The onlooker added: 'Every girl in the club was checking him out but Paris couldn't take her eyes off him.

'You could tell he enjoyed the attention but he didn't really want anything to do with any of the girls.
'He just sipped vodka soda in the corner of the club with his friends.'
Flanked by four or five male friends , Ronaldo arrived hobbled in on crutches just after 11.30pm.

Earlier, he had enjoyed a business dinner with around nine associates at Hollywood steak restaurant STK.
A fellow diner said: 'He is obviously in LA on business.
'He looked very serious over dinner and spent the entire time talking to the men in suits.'The onlooker added that Ronaldo is being accompanied by a glamorous female assistant, who is apparently helping him recuperate from injury.

The old issue of I hate him but I want him in my team... Seinfeld covered it well, when he pointed out that you are in fact cheering for the "jumper" the person in it is only your favourite whilst he wears that particular shirt...

Good luck to both teams, Man U have a spending fund, and Real Madrid have another shirt seller...

unfortunately with 80m pounds in the bank Man U will end up being stronger. They'll buy 2 or 3 players with the money and can start becoming a team again. I don't see the same with Milan who seem to be relying on Ronaldinho and paying off debt's instead.
I don't like lies. I have understood your market where sometimes lies sell more than truth. This is your life and I don't like it. I understand your work and I have to work with you, but the protection of my group is much more important than you

Ronaldo was a gun & I admit I was a little disappointed when I heard we sold him, however with that 80million we could buy another 2 or 3 gun players to strengthen our squad even more as some of the other guys have said.

I'd love to see Benzema or Ribery or both at United that would be awesome.

To be honest though I think Real Madrid should stop worrying about their attacking options and start concentrating on securing some defenders. Their defense last season was terrible. All good to have the players that can score you goals but if you concede 4 when you score 3 it doesn't really matter does it. Barca had a heap of stars and when Guardiola signed he had a clean out & we then blitzed the La Liga & Champs league this season to win both comfortably.

very hard to replace and may be cant be replaced, cant see you being stronger even if you do buy 2 or 3 top class players they wont be as good as him. think most of the money will be going to pay off your large debts anyway.

Can be replaced, he's not as special as everyone says he is. He is an awesome player but his goals can be compensated for by various players rather than the Ronaldocentric effect that was going on at Man Utd, this time instead of 1 player scoring 30+ goals per season you'll probably have a few scoring 20+ goals.
