The Cougars!
The Cougars have an unbelievable div3 Sat team this year with the arrival of the one and only Dion Mastrangelo.
He is a rock-solid centre back and may also have the record for the most 3 point games in a row. Also Nicholas Lalli has slotted in quite nicely with 4 goals in just as many games. The ex Adelaide City nippy forward is on fire atm and is tripping over the ball less and less as he gets some more game time. Also I must mention the efforts of ex Adelaide Olympic player Nicky Mavratzas have been second to none, the midfield maestro has really hit his straps with the Croydon side and they look to be unstoppable this year in taking out the league and possibly the Amatuer cup if all things go right for the young and vibrant team. GOOD LUCK COUGARS!!!!!!

Re: The Cougars!
Dion Mastrangelo is not at RBE. he was last year but left us this yeaqr to go play for his uncles team...top player.
Re: The Cougars!
The cougars, have scored some top players this year and a good coach. Dion is very solid at the back. The cougar culture is very contagious and very unique. Other clubs could only wish to have half the things they got going on!

What have they got going on?Badragas wrote:The cougars, have scored some top players this year and a good coach. Dion is very solid at the back. The cougar culture is very contagious and very unique. Other clubs could only wish to have half the things they got going on!
Also, one thing that's been bugging me, why did all these good players leave RBE? When we faced them last year they seemed to enjoy themselves.

Re: The Cougars!
I might add when I get the chance to go down and watch the cougars play they have really impressed me as an amateur team. They have the youth which I must say, is sad too see because i think they could be plying their trade in the FFSA but none the less they have the cridentials to go the whole way for the cup and I'm just going to put out a warning now for Para Hills East, if they think its to be an easy game cos they r playing a div3 sat team they have another thing coming.
Go the cougars

TWO COUGARS THANKS !!!!!
Re: The Cougars!
Can I laugh now, or would people prefer that I do it later...? I wasn't impressed the other week, or last year - not by their ability, nor by their lack of sportsmanship. :?

Laugh whenever you want I suppose. You don't have to ask!Chade wrote:Can I laugh now, or would people prefer that I do it later...? I wasn't impressed the other week, or last year - not by their ability, nor by their lack of sportsmanship. :?
You sound like a bit of a whinger. Which "other week" are you refering to?
Re: The Cougars!
Yeah, whinger, sure. Only got called a "f****** cheat" for running the line a few times - despite the simple fact that your strikers have no idea how to spring an offside trap properly. I didn't mind the young fellas on the sidelines behind me having a go, that's par for the course, but getting told that several times - despite your coach agreeing with my calls - is over the top.

For starters, its Defenders who spring offside traps. Not attackers.
Everyone who does the line will cop some lip at some point. If you are refering to last weeks game, It was pretty important and passions were high. So i apologise for any excesive mouthing off.
