Kaka to Man Utd?
Manchester United are reported to have held talks with AC Milan playmaker Kaka over a potential summer move to Old Trafford as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo should the Portuguese leave for Real Madrid.
It is understood that the representatives for the 27-year-old Brazilian met with United officials to discuss personal terms, which in wages alone could earn the player £35m over five years.
The Sun report a source close to Kaka as saying: ''It was a very positive meeting, although nothing was agreed.
''The player wants a five-year contract and wages of £135,000 a week. He is very keen to join United and these are figures that are within United's pay structure. It's up to them what happens now.''
No transfer fee was discussed however Milan could expect to receive at least £70m despite the prevailing economic climate - after all in January Kaka was subject to a £100m transfer bid from Manchester City.
Although United's parent company recently reported debts in excess of £600m the club could afford a move for Kaka if they decide to reinvest the cash they would receive for Ronaldo, who at the least would command a fee in the region of £70m.
While Kaka is understood to have baulked at the possibility of a move to the City of Manchester Stadium earlier this year, Old Trafford is a different proposition, as the Brazilian has previously admitted when he said: ''They have some great players in Giggs and Scholes and especially Wayne Rooney.
''One of my best friends, Anderson, is also there - how can anyone say no? They are the English and European champions and a great club to play for.''

Re: Kaka to Man Utd?
I would rather Cristiano, but Kaka and Ribery would be nice next season.

Havent Liverpool spent more money than us in transfers in the last 5-6 years? I remember seeing a table and if I come across it again I'll post it and have a go at you. xDan Agger wrote:Rich fuckers..

Re: Kaka to Man Utd?
If we have it would have been because we've reshaped like our entire squad..we haven't spent ridiculous amounts on one single player like you guys tend to do a lot. Plus majority of what we've spent have come from the sales of other players..We aren't given huge transfer budgets. So I stand by my statementThe Joker wrote:Havent Liverpool spent more money than us in transfers in the last 5-6 years? Re: Kaka to Man Utd?
Fair enough, you have done quite good for yourselves. Although I don't really agree with your comment on us spending ridiculous amounts on single players, due to the fact that it was Liverpool that spent £18m on Robbie Keane, for then which they sold back to Tottenham for a loss. He actually costed Liverpool more than what Ronaldo costed us (£12m). Fair enough we spent £30m on Berbatov, but he is actually going to stay and not leave after six months.Dan Agger wrote:If we have it would have been because we've reshaped like our entire squad..we haven't spent ridiculous amounts on one single player like you guys tend to do a lot. carrick, berbatov, ferdinand, rooney, even nani wasn't much less than Keane i don't think..Fair enough, you have done quite good for yourselves. Re: Kaka to Man Utd?
What I am getting at is that Ferdinand and Rooney did cost us more than Keane but they have been a big part of our success the last couple of seasons. Can't say the same thing for Berbatov, but he has definately put in a few important goals for us, off the top of my head, the winner against Bolton and winner against Newcastle.10 wrote:carrick, berbatov, ferdinand, rooney, even nani wasn't much less than Keane i don't think..Fair enough, you have done quite good for yourselves. Yeah fair call on the Keane thing, though apparently Rafa wasn't the one who wanted to sign him..hence why he wants more control of transfers from now on..But thats a different issue and theres nothing to say thats 100% true..so yeah kind of a moot point right nowThe Joker wrote:Fair enough, you have done quite good for yourselves. But you have spent more money on individual players than we have on average..The only two players in our current squad that we spent big money on was Torres and Mascherano..and Keane as you mention, but he's gone already so I'm not going to count him.
Our defence was very cheap, our most expensive defender being Dossena at 7m (terrible signing lol, but shows just how well we've done picking up defenders on the cheap). Our midfield was fair cheap, with the exception of Masch and yeah you know our forward situation..Torres was the only expensive one.
So yeah..you are rich fuckers

I guess maybe we are rich, even though we do have a 1.1 billion pound debt.

Since he took charge of the bindippers Rafa's spent more money in the transfer market than AF and won nothing since the FA Cup in 2006.

Liverpool would have also spent a bit of coin on manager in manager out since United have been winning EPL titles. Paying out managers contracts is a hidden expense in the "ridiculous amounts" debate.

Re: Kaka to Man Utd?
Fergie spends heaps of money on individual players, but most of the time those players come in and make a difference, fit straight into the team and continue thier success. Where as Benitez has signed countless useless pieces of shite, his theory seems to be if i sign 10 players surely 2 of them will make the first team.
Spurs on the other hand use both fergie and Benitez's theorys, we spend rediculous sums of money on useless pieces of shite

If you're having Spurs problems I feel bad for you son
I've got 99 problems but the Yids ain't one.
PS: Spurs remain a quality side, I don't care what you say. The Feyernoord Jubileum Tournament doesn't win itself, you know.

It doesnt matter how much Man Utd and Liverpool spend, Man Utd win more

Re: Kaka to Man Utd?
Yeah 7m is the most expensive..Really shows how well we did to get Agger, Skrtel, Arbeloa and Aurelio (and Hyypia of course, but he was like the best buy ever). The Joker wrote:Wow 7m is the most expensive?Dan Agger wrote:Yeah fair call on the Keane thing, though apparently Rafa wasn't the one who wanted to sign him..hence why he wants more control of transfers from now on..But thats a different issue and theres nothing to say thats 100% true..so yeah kind of a moot point right now

Yeah we've covered that..read the stuff earlier about how we've reshaped our squad and majority of the money we've used has come from the money we got for players.Jimbob wrote:Since he took charge of the bindippers Rafa's spent more money in the transfer market than AF and won nothing since the FA Cup in 2006.

Whether he's gone or not, you can't leave players out if they were actually bought by the Club.Dan Agger wrote:and Keane as you mention, but he's gone already so I'm not going to count him.

Okay then, including Keane there is still only 3 really expensive individuals that we have bought..Torres, Mascherano and Keane. If he said he was never ever going to leave AC Milan when he was linked with Man City why would people think he will be going to Man Utd?
