MSSC BLUE EAGLES vs STH COAST UTD - 0:4 Looks like South Coast will be right up there again this year. Warning to the other sides: DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THEM! I think they might be the only team in Div3 to train properly twice a week and actually compete for spots in the first team!

MACEDONIA UTD vs PAYN POSTEL - 2:0 Payneham my early tip for bottom spot.

BRAHMA LODGE vs BEOGRAD - 2:2 Not really sure what to say here... I'd like to say we'll win but don't think Brahma will be that easy to beat judging by their pre-season results. Should be a good game.

ASTERAS vs CROATIA - 3:1 Asteras not a bad team and Cros not firing just yet.

BOSNA vs ATHELSTONE - 4:0 Bosna looks good early on and Athelstone unimpressive so far.

3:0 very flattering for Bosna.
Played in spirits. Wasnt good or bad. it was just.....like playing munno para.
Big Bosna crowd but very chilled.
No banter between players about 'ushtasas' or mujahadeen.
First goal. Free kick outside the 18. Took a big deflection off the wall, then a deflection off our keeper.
Some might call it an attempted catch.
And 2 penalties.
One for sure, the 2nd couldve gone either way for ball kcked into hand.

Funny story today.
Young Bosnian kid came to the canteen and bought a cevap roll.
Took a few steps away, turned and asked "Whats in it?"
"Pork"
He sighed, dumped it in the bin and walked off.
The steaks were beef.

Muslim?? or just doesnt like pork?? I remember playing a cricket game ( a lil off topic) against a team with some players of muslim religeon who brought their own meat and borrowed our barbie as all we had was pork.

What a game. We went up 1:0 in the first 2 minutes from a corner kick. From there on it was a pretty even game with both teams having chances, but BL seemed more hungry and went harder at the ball. This was rewarded in the 75th minute when they equalised with a header through the keepers legs from a throw in (narrow pitch?). Neither team let up, both kept fighting on for the next 10 or so minutes and then we got a free kick just outside the 18 yeard box. And following a well taken free kick we went up 2:1 with 5 mins to go. The next 5 minutes were more like a rugby game with lots of late/hard challenges and a few yellow cards for both sides. Then a BL player gets the ball about 25-30m out, inline with the corner of the penalty area on their left hand side, has a shot and scores in the opposite corner. I've never seen a ball swing that much... our keeper had no chance. BL looked extremely hungry after last weeks disappointing loss to South Coast. One of their players said they played a much better game today. In the end, I predicted the score correctly.

It actually held up well with the weather.
I was referring to the cricket pitch in the middle.
We're all used to it, living here, i know.
But it was covered with beach sand, 4-5 inches higher than the grass.
Didnt affect the outcome of the game, just dangerous and uncomfortable.
I got beach rash in Flinders Park in April.

Very one-sided game. If i remember Bosna had one goal kick in the whole game. They seemed very unlucky, Hit the post and had a few good shots. Athelstone seems to get all 11 in the 18 yard box, and it almost worked

But a very fair game played. and a deserved win for Bosna.

Spirited effort by the payneham lads but in the end were lucky to only cop 5 as it shouldve been many many more if not for to much cute crap by our boys....paynehams only chance of scoring came from a thunderous back pass by our centre back and was the only real thing i had to save all day....good game and fair played displayed all round...good luck to Pyneham for the remainder of the season

Blue Eagles good win away did not expect that saw them at pre season against Beograd and i thought they would struggle. Macos been struggling for a few years now but looks good with back to back wins. Not counting chickens take it game by game. Few good signings to come into our squad yet just have to wait and see how they gel. You might remember our tall bald striker when he joined round 5 and ended top scorer he put a few past you that season.
