The first round of tickets was a ballot, the second round which opened on the 4th was a first in best dressed, got my application in after 20 minutes of server not available messages, hoping for the best but who knows. Fanatics have 5000 dollar camping trips for the first 3 games... might have to see if the povlady has some money stashed somewhere...

I did not apply this time round. 2006 was brilliant - had a TST 6 then drove to Milan to watch the final in the central palaza.

Not keen to spend another 6 weeks away from my young family - 2014 is a more realistic option.

South Africa 2010 will be very different to Germany 2006.

Germany was indeed so easy, I had tix to 6 games and bus transfers , was cheap as chips , and no problems with anything apart fro slow coaches and hectic schedules, I am starting to think SA2010 might be just too freakin hard, but my son missed out last time and is adamant we are going this time, the fallback position is to go to stay at a friends place in Cape Town for a feww weeks and soak up the atmosphere...

I have some tickets to a couple of games, NFI who is playing yet of course, but what the heck, I can always swap them , or I might get lucky and pull a good game...

Match 9 - E1 v E2 - 14 June, Johannesburg 13.30 CAT2 2 Successful
Match 20 - B1 v B3 - 17 June, Johannesburg 20.30 CAT2 2 Successful

If E1/2/B1/B3 turns out to be Brazil, Italy, Australia, England , Spain or Germany I will be happy

Well the POVMAN is smiling today, Mrs Pov has decided I can spend my work bonus on the "expensive" package with the Fanatics, so Mr Pov and Junior Pov are booked to go to the 3 group stage games for Aust and sleep in a very luxurious tent, at great expense to the management...

As a result of my income level Mr Rudd was unable to assist me with this venture, but thanks to my work paying a healthy sales bonus I am on my way... yippee

Now all I need is a couple of flights  if I cannot get any...

plus I have the other tix too , so depending on the draw may get to see 5 games, not quite as many as I managed to get to in Germany but a good number all the same...

Better to be in a secure stadium in sunny Durban than the outskirts of Johannesburg with one of the highest crime rates in the world, dont u think Mr X?
